General seasonal employment

We R Tacoma, home of Tacoma Rainiers baseball and Sounders FC 2 soccer, are currently accepting applications for seasonal employment.

The organization is looking for hardworking, customer service-oriented individuals to fill a variety of game day positions for the 2018 seasons. Interested candidates aged 16 years and up are encouraged to submit an application, in person, during regular business hours (9am - 5pm) at the front office of the stadium (located on the second floor through the main entrance).

Candidates who desire to begin seasonal employment by Opening Day are asked to please submit applications prior to February 15, 2018.

Ivar's food service employment

Ivar's is currently accepting applications for employment for the 2018 seasons. Positions available include concessions cashiers, concessions cooks, concessions shift leads, warehouse staff, party deck staff, and servers and bartenders for all-inclusive areas including the Summit Club, Dugout Club, and suites.

Applications for Ivar's can be submitted in person at the Cheney Stadium front office, or by emailing All servers, bartenders, and cashiers will be required to have a Food Service Card, as well as a MAST card. Applicants must be available days, evenings, and weekends from April to September, with the option of possible winter work.

Groundscrew employment

The Tacoma Rainiers, the Triple-A affiliate of the Seattle Mariners, are seeking qualified individuals to fill the grounds crew positions for the 2018 season. These positions are seasonal, and are paid at the minimum wage rate. The position will report directly to the Head Groundskeeper and assist on game day and non-game day events, including Triple-A Rainiers games along with USL Division 2 S2 games. This is a great opportunity to further your sports turf management career or just get your foot in the door if this is an industry that interests you. You will work alongside the Head Groundskeeper and crew as well as get to know others in the front office.
