Mike McMurray Chairman & CEO
Mike McMurrayMike McMurray is the Chairman and CEO of Short Season, LLC, which has owned and operated the Hillsboro Hops since 2013. From 2000 to 2012, he served as President of the Yakima Bears. Mike and his wife Laura are the majority owners of the Hops and also have a minority interest in the Missoula Osprey of the Pioneer League.

Mike has been involved in Minor League Baseball since 1995. He and Laura previously had ownership interest in the Riverside Pilots and Lancaster JetHawks of the California League as well as the Lethbridge Black Diamonds of the Pioneer League. He currently serves on Minor League Baseball's Licensing Committee.

In real life, Mike was a consulting actuary for 25 years.

K.L. Wombacher President & General Manager
K.L. WombacherK.L. enters his second year as President and General Manager, and his 18th season with the franchise. In the Fall of 2006, K.L. joined the ownership group. Beginning his career with the Yakima Bears as an intern during the 2001 season, K.L. joined the full-time staff after completing his degree in Fitness and Sports Management from Central Washington University. He was the Director of Stadium Operations and Assistant General Manager before his promotion to General Manager in September of 2004.

Matt Kolasinski Vice President, Corporate Partnerships
Matt Kolasinski Matt has previously led corporate partnership efforts for the Portland Timbers as the team's Director of Corporate Sales and most recently for Learfield Sports as the Associate General Manager for Oregon State Beavers Sports Properties. Kolasinski has also held sales positions with the Portland Trail Blazers, Palace Sports and Entertainment and the Portland Beavers.


Kolasinski is a graduate of the Isenberg School of Management at UMass Amherst with a degree in Sport Management.


Ryan Kees Director, Partnership Activation
Ryan Kees Ryan is joining the Hops front office after serving as a member of the HOPSpitality game day staff during the 2016 season. He began his career in sports with the NFL Players Association as the Operations Manager, facilitating the operations and logistics for their Washington, DC office and events around the country. Ryan is excited to bring his experience and his love of baseball to the Hillsboro Hops!

Jason Gavigan Jason is entering his sixth full season with the franchise, after completing his Masters Degree in Sport and Athletic Administration at Gonzaga University. Jason moved with the team from Yakima, WA where he worked in the same role with the Bears.

Jen Anderson Jen is entering her fourth full season with the franchise after starting out as a Game Day employee in the Hops' Team Shop in 2013. Prior to coming to the Hops full time, she graduated from Washington State University, majoring in Elementary Education.

Casey Sawyer Coordinator, Community Outreach
Casey SawyerCasey has been with the Hops since 2013, working as the Clubhouse Manager during the season. During the off season Casey spends the majority of his time working with the Hops Community Outreach program. This program is designed to allow the Hops, as well as the mascot Barley to attend and volunteer their time at local schools, charities and other fundraising events.

Casey graduated from Washington State University-Vancouver in 2017 with a degree in Business Administration, with a focus in Marketing. Go Hops!
