Coaching Staff

Jerad Head, Manager

Head is in his second season as Auburn Doubledays Manager after a professional playing career that included stops in Harrisburg and Syracuse with the Nationals organization and an appearance in the majors with the Cleveland Indians. The Topeka, Kansas native began his post-playing career in 2014 as an outfield instructor at the Washington Nationals training complex. Last season, Head was a coach for the Gulf Coast League Nationals.

Mark Harris, Hitting Coach

Harris is in his seventh season in the Washington Nationals organization and his second with Auburn. Most recently, Harris was the hitting coach for the Harrisburg Senators in 2014 and 2015. Harris also served as the hitting coach for the Potomac Nationals in 2011 and 2013, and with Hagerstown in 2012. The Bristol, Virginia native has also spent time as a scout and coach in the Rangers and Phillies organizations. Harris played in the New York Yankees organization after being selected in the first round of the 1978 January draft as the 25th overall selection.

Tim Redding, Pitching Coach

Redding is in his fourth season as a coach, after a 16-year professional career, including a 2-year stint with the Washington Nationals. In his 179 games of professional baseball, Redding went 37-57 with a 4.95 ERA. Redding also pitched for the Astros, Padres, Yankees and Mets. In 1998 Redding played for the Doubledays after being drafted by the Astros. Redding grew up in Rochester, NY where he attended Monroe Community College.

Darren Yoos, Athletic Trainer

Yoos is in his fifth year in the Nationals organization, has served Auburn since the start of 2013. Yoos spent the 2012 campaign in Boston's chain with the Double-A Portland Sea Dogs. Prior to his work with the Red Sox, Yoos served as the Head Athletic Trainer for Watertown (CT) High School from 2008-2011. Yoos is a Watertown, CT native and he graduated from Southern Connecticut State University in 2008.

Shane Hill, Strength & Conditioning Coach

Hill is in his first season with the Auburn Doubledays. Hill received his Masters from the University of Florida in 2016 and graduated from Nova Southeastern (FL) University.
