Birmingham Barons, LLC

Operating as the Birmingham Barons, LLC, the Logan family, consisting of Don Logan and his two sons, Jeff and Stan, purchased the Barons franchise from the Elmore Sports Group, Ltd., following the 2005 season. The Birmingham Barons, LLC became the 11th owner in the Barons' storied history that spans for more than 100 years. The Logan family has significant roots in the community and plans to continue the tradition of fun, family-orientated entertainment that the Birmingham area has come to expect from the Barons. This is the Logan family's first venture into professional baseball.

Don Logan moved his family to Birmingham in 1970 as he began his 21-year career with Southern Progress Corporation. Since that time, the Logan family has maintained a continued presence in the community. Don has served the Birmingham area in many ways over the years, acting as a Director of the Birmingham Chamber of Commerce, Co-Chair of the Civil Rights Institute and a Trustee of Samford University. He has also been active as a member of the President's Council at the University of Alabama in Birmingham. Don moved to New York in 1992 and became CEO of Time, Inc. Early in 2006, Don stepped down from his day-to-day responsibilities as the Chairman of Time Warner's Media and Communications Group, a position he held since July of 2002. He continues to serve as Chairman of the Board of Time Warner Cable.

Jeff and Stan both grew up in Birmingham and graduated from local high schools. After graduating from Auburn University, Jeff and Stan both spent time living and working in Birmingham. Jeff worked in the financial banking industry for 12 years and remains active in the community. He is currently the CEO of Seek Publishing, Chairman of Magic City Harvest, a member of the fundraising committee for Auburn University's Business School, and is active with the CFA Society of Alabama. Stan graduated from Samford University's Cumberland School of Law and practiced law in Birmingham from four years before moving to Atlanta. While in Birmingham, Stan was an active member of Operation New Birmingham's Community Affairs Committee and the Birmingham Bar Association.

Don and his wife, Sandra, reside in Birmingham, as do Jeff, his wife Katrina, and their two daughters. Stan, his wife, Julie, and their son live in Atlanta.
