Chris Jones Chris Jones, President

Chris Jones is going into his third season as President of the Hillcats. Prior to the Hillcats, Chris served as the General Manager for the Sugar Land Skeeters from 2013 to 2015. He worked for the Advanced-A Lake Elsinore Storm for 12 years, including eight as the General Manager. During his time with the Storm they were awarded the Bob Freitas award in 2007 and the Larry MacPhail Award in 2011. He also spent time in roles with the Dallas Cowboys, High Desert Mavericks, and Staples Center.

A native of Houston, TX, Chris was awarded the California League Executive of the Year in 2008 and then won the Carolina League Executive of the Year in 2017. He is avid fan of all Houston Sports and was extremely happy to see the Houston Astros win the World Series. Chris has a wife, Anna, and three boys, James (21), Tanner (15) and Bryce (13). He also has three dogs, Dooney, Queso and Bud.





Ronnie Roberts Ronnie Roberts, General Manager

This is Ronnie Roberts' 28th year in Lynchburg with the Lynchburg Baseball Corp. Ronnie was born and raised in Bahama, NC. After graduating from Methodist College in 1971 he worked in the banking and insurance business in Roxboro, NC. In 1991 Ronnie moved to Lynchburg to work for the Lynchburg Red Sox, starting out as the groundskeeper until 1993, and then became the Assistant General Manager. In 2014 Ronnie was named General Manager of the Lynchburg Hillcats.

Ronnie played football and baseball at Northern Durham High School, and played baseball and ran Cross Country at Methodist College. He was recently inducted into both his high school athletic Hall of Fame and his college athletic Hall of Fame. Ronnie has 2 grown daughters and 4 grandchildren, all of whom live in NC. He is engaged to Renee' Biache. Hobbies include reading, spending time with his fiancee', his kids and grandkids, watching baseball, and trying to learn to play golf. Ronnie loves public speaking and is a member of the 7 Hills Lions Club, the Lynchburg Sports Club, and on the board of directors of other civic organizations in Lynchburg.. Ronnie is an avid fan of Duke University baseball, basketball and football. He also served in the United States Marine Corps Reserves from 1971 through 1977.





Matt Klein Matt Klein, Assistant GM

Matt joined the Lynchburg Hillcats in August of 2016 for his first season in minor league baseball. Matt specializes in corporate sponsorships, group outings, fundraising, and community outreach. A native of Michigan Matt moved to the Lynchburg area with family in the early 2000's. Matt graduated from Liberty University with a B.S. in Sport Management and resides in Forest, Virginia with his wife Lindsay, son Xander, dog Moxie, and cat Gypsy.





Max Rettig Max Rettig, Director of Sales

Max Rettig is in his 3rd season with the Hillcats. He is the Director of Sales, specializing in corporate partnerships, advertising, group outings, fundraising, and community outreach.

Max was born in New York, but has spent most of his life in Richmond, VA and graduated from James Madison University in 2016 with a B.S in Sport and Recreation Management and a minor in Business. Max is an avid fan of the Dukes of JMU, New York Yankees, Green Bay Packers, and NASCAR. Max also loves music, especially: The Beatles, Paul McCartney & Wings, George Harrison, Traveling Wilburys, Dave Matthews Band (he's seen them 16 times in concert), Grateful Dead, Billy Joel, Jimmy Buffett, Simon & Garfunkel, Paul Simon, and the Band. He enjoys watching Netflix with his wife and his dog Addison including: Seinfeld, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Breaking Bad, Friends, 30 Rock, The Office, Mad Men, Parks and Recreation, The League, and Peaky Blinders.





Lincoln Evans Lincoln Evans, Director of Ticket Operations

Lincoln is in his third year with the Lynchburg Hillcats. Lincoln started as a Concessions intern in 2016 and transitioned into Ticketing during the 2017 season. He manages season ticket, Kids' Club, and Mini Plan accounts as well as overseeing an awesome Box Office staff.

Prior to the Hillcats, Lincoln graduated from Lynchburg College in 2015 where he studied Sports Management and played four years of baseball. He enjoys watching baseball, working out, watching movies, hiking, fishing, watching/playing other sports, and dominating office fantasy leagues.





Kestrel Kerl Kestrel Kerl, Director of Fan Engagement

Kestrel is in her 3rd season with the Lynchburg Hillcats. She serves as the Director of Fan Engagement and is also is the on field host and team reporter for the Hillcats. Kestrel loves interacting with fans and doing her best to make City Stadium a fun and entertaining place for the fans!She strives to ensure that all fans have a great time from the moment they walk through the gates.

Kestrel is a proud Hornet, she is a graduate of Lynchburg College where she majored in Electronic Media as well as Convergent Journalism and minored in Public Relations. Kestrel is a native of Nelson County, Virginia where she grew up with her favorite people in the world: her parents and her 5 brothers and 2 sisters. Kestrel can be seen obsessively showing off pictures and videos of her niece and nephews everywhere she goes, because they are just that perfect. She is a Philadelphia sports PHantaic!





Crystal Williamson Crystal Williamson, Director of Finance & Accounting

Crystal Williamson is entering her third season with the Hillcats after joining the staff in the spring of 2016. She is the Director of Finance & Accounting and handles all the finances for the team. Some of her responsibilities include accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll. In addition to keeping up with the numbers, she also has some human resource duties.

A native of Seaford, DE, Crystal is a 2017 graduate of Liberty University where she majored in both Accounting & Business: Finance and minored in Sport Management. When not at the ballpark, Crystal enjoys listening to music, watching sports, and hanging out with family & friends. She is an avid fan of the Philadelphia Phillies and Philadelphia Flyers.





Mike Georgiadis Mike Georgiadis, Head Groundskeeper

Michael Georgiadis is excited to join the Lynchburg Hillcats for the 2018 season. Michael grew up in New Jersey and started out after high school with the U.S. Navy and served for 5 years. After his military career concluded, Michael attended Rutgers Professional Golf Turf Management Program. While attending Rutgers, he completed a two-year internship with the Trenton Thunder which is the New York Yankee's AA affiliate located in Trenton, New Jersey. In 2014 Michael completed another internship with Liberty National Golf Club, which is a prestigious club located in Jersey City. When 2015 came around Michael was able to intern with the Philadelphia Phillies grounds crew. In 2016 he was offered an assistant superintendent position at Tavistock Country Club in Haddonfield NJ. His love of baseball then brought him to the Helena Brewers in Montana as the head groundskeeper in 2017.

In his free time, he enjoys going to the beach, eating good food, and watching East Bound and Down.





Max Gun Max Gun, Broadcast and Media Relations Manager

Max is in his first year with the Lynchburg Hillcats. He serves as the team's main play-by-play voice for all 140 games. Max also writes the club's press releases, game notes, game stories and helps manage the Hillcats website.
A native of West Bloomfield, Michigan, Max studied Broadcast Journalism at Michigan State University, where he graduated in 2015. He broke into minor league baseball in 2016 as a Broadcast and Media Relations Assistant for the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes (Advanced-A, LA Dodgers) and held the same position in 2017 for the Altoona Curve (Double-A, Pittsburgh Pirates). Max enjoys traveling, hiking, rooting for Detroit sports teams, watching the greatest game in the world (baseball) and doing whatever it takes to find the best road food.





Southpaw Southpaw, Director of Fun!

Southpaw was adopted from the Lynchburg Humane Society in January of 2017. With the legacy that his retiring predecessor left behind, Southpaw instantly had HUGE shoes to fill. Luckily for us, Southpaw has big feet....and awesome blue chucks! He has fit in puuurfectly here by adding to the excitement of City Stadium. This lovable, green, giant can be seen dancing on dugouts, driving around on his four wheeler, entertaining birthday parties, taking photos with fans,and of course cheering on his number one team!

Outside of the stadium, you can see Southpaw making a difference and lending a hand in the community, hanging out with students during the Hillcats' Hit the Books Reading program,and volunteering for numerous non-profits. Southpaw graduated from Feline Training Academy and received a masters in Mascoting with a minor in Cathletics. Southpaw spends his free time watching Animal Planet and BASEBALL, hanging out at the scratch post with furry friends, and believe or not he is a pretty talented meowsician (he plays puurrcussion). Southpaw wants his fans to know that he thinks they are all PAWsome!





Dave Elmore Dave Elmore, Owner

David. G. Elmore is one of the most respected owners in Minor League Baseball. He founded the Ellmore Sports Group in 1969, a sports and entertainment organization comprised of Minor League Baseball and hockey teams, as well as companies specializing in facility management, travel, concessions and special events. Dave is a member of the Pacific Coast League Board of Directors and currently serves on the league's Executive Committee. Dave was named the 2016 King of Baseball by Minor League Baseball.





D.G. Elmore D.G. Elmore, Owner

D.G. Elmore, son of Dave Elmore, holds both legal and M.B.A. degrees. He is currently the chairman and owner of several different companies including Gant Travel Management and Cornerstone Information Systems. D.G. is on the board of Directors for the non-profit charity New Horizons Foundation and The Navigators.





Doug Elmore Doug Elmore, Owner

Doug Elmore, son of Dave Elmore, is Managing Director of the Elmore Sports Group, Ltd and President and owner of Diamond Concessions companies and Vail Service Stations, LLC. Elmore is also involved in real estate, having owned and developed hotels, industrial parks, condominiums, and gas stations. Doug has a B.S. in Public Affairs from Indiana University and an MBA in Finance from Pepperdine University. Elmore and his wife, Julie, live in Chicago and have three grown children.
