Have you always wanted to work for a baseball team or do you need a fun summer job? Then the Carolina Mudcats is the place for you! There are many different positions at Five County Stadium, the family place, for you to work during our 70 home games and other events during the year. We invite you to become a part of the fun and excitement at the Mudcats by attending the Carolina Mudcats job fair.

Time: 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Where: Five County Stadium in Cattails Restaurant
Live interviews will be conducted on site for various game day positions. The following positions are available: Food & Beverage Services, Picnic Staff, Usher, Parking Attendant, Stadium Clean Up, Bat Boy, Lady Mudcats and Promotions Crew.
Cattails Restaurant is located on the 4th floor of Five County Stadium. Take the elevator or stairs behind home plate to get to the 4th floor.
Ushers provide customer service and greet Mudcats fans as they enter the stadium and locate their seats. Ushers are to ensure that every fan in the stadium has a great experience and make sure fans follow stadium rules. Individuals must have good customer service and flexible work schedule, including night, weekends and holidays.
Positions are available for both post game and day time clean up work. Post game clean up members are responsible for collecting and removing garbage, cleaning and restocking bathrooms and picking up, blowing debris from the seating bowl after the completion of every game. Day time clean up members work before the game to get the stadium ready for game time. The clean up staff are responsible for hosing down and cleaning the stadium concourse every game day as well as making sure the stadium is in game ready condition. The Mudcats are seeking responsible, reliable, hard working individuals for all clean up positions. Individuals must have flexible work schedule, including night, weekends and holidays
Batboys work closely with the clubhouse manager and are responsible for helping break down batting practice and stocking the dugouts with water coolers before the game time. During the game batboys are in charge of checking the coolers and refilling if necessary, making sure that the umpire has baseballs ready for game use and picking up bats after each at bat is complete. Individuals must have flexible work schedule, including night, weekends and holidays.
Parking attendants arrive before games and are responsible for the collecting of money and directing cars in the parking lots. The Mudcats are seeking responsible, reliable hard working people. Individuals must have good customer service and flexible work schedule, including night, weekends and holidays.
Food & Beverage:
Concession Stand Leader:
This position oversees specific areas of food service from concession stands to the portable food service kiosks on the concourse. The concession stand/portable leaders will oversee a crew of two to ten people, some of whom are non-for-profit volunteer groups, some are retirees and others are high-school students. The ability to work with and motivate and manage a diverse group of employees is important.
Duties performed include running a stand or portable during an event, providing excellent customer service, inventory and cash management, team building and employee training. In addition all safety, health and cleaning codes, procedures and guideline must be implemented. Individuals must have flexible work schedule, including night, weekends and holidays.
Concession Stand Server/Cashier:
Several positions available in various areas of the ballpark, the stand and portable workers can serve as cashiers, runners, picnic staff and support staff to make sure all areas of the food and beverage department are running efficiently. Customer satisfaction will be top priority. This is an excellent way to gain experience in the food service industry.
Prepare assigned production tasks in a manner consistent with the highest standards of the food service industry. Follow guidelines of the cooks and stand leaders to prepare food. Provide friendly, courteous and helpful customer service. Maintain all Health, ALE, and department guidelines.
Strong customer service and communication skills are necessary. Previous food preparation experience preferred, should be able to lift at least 50 pounds, must be able to read and write verbal and written instructions, should be able to stand for long periods of time, must be able to follow directions, flexible work schedule is required including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Kitchen cook/staff will handle many kitchen appliances and tools while maintaining a pace to handle suite level catering and concourse food service needs. Individuals with some cooking experience in a restaurant-type environment are normally the most successful applicants. Kitchen Crew responsibilities include food preparation, cooking and cleaning.
Prepare quality food for a concession stand in a timely manner in accordance with the health department regulations and department procedures. Inventory control, preparation of food items according to management guidelines, clean equipment and cooking area, assist with training of staff as needed.
Must have cooking experience and willingness to learn, ability to lift more than 50 pounds, should be able to reach, stand, bend and stoop for long periods of time and climb stairs, must be able to read and write verbal and written instructions, must have excellent communication skills, basic math and ability to work late nights, some holidays and weekends.
Picnic staffers will be assisting in all four of the Mudcats' picnic areas and also with Birthday parties. Their duties include setting up and breaking down picnics, re-stocking food and beverages, maintaining a clean environment, and providing excellent customer service to our groups. Individuals must have flexible work schedule, including night, weekends and holidays.
Promotions crew coordinates all game-day sponsored promotional elements including: in-between inning contests, giveaways, concourse displays, pre-game ceremonies, first pitches and the National Anthem. Assist in the execution of in-game promotions, ensuring contestants have been selected for a seamless production. Members of the promotions crew are leaders in customer service while conducting themselves in a professional manner. When not specifically assigned to a certain task during the game, the promotions crew will "work the crowd" to ensure enthusiasm and a positive fan experience. The Mudcats are looking for outgoing, open and friendly people who are willing to take direction and learn. Individuals must have a flexible work schedules; including nights, weekends and holidays.
Lady Mudcats will sell programs, greet fans, hand out promotional giveaway items, operate the speed pitch and change the bases in between innings. In addition, they will be in charge of the new kid zone and required to man the inflatables. If needed, they will be asked to help assist with tasks from the promotions crew (see above). The Mudcats are seeking individuals who are friendly, outgoing and customer service oriented. Individuals must have a flexible work schedules; including nights, weekends and holidays.
The Carolina Mudcats are now searching for interns for the 2015 season! We have openings in our Marketing & Promotions, Ticket Operations, Food & Beverage, Stadium Operations, Video Operations and Mascot departments. Working for the Mudcats is a great opportunity to build a future in the sports and entertainment industry. Internships will begin in April and run through the end of the season (September).
