The Albuquerque Isotopes and Dion's Pizza proudly joined forces again for their 11th straight year by providing an incentive program for students to continue reading during the summer vacation. Club read encourages students to read during the summer while they are out of school.
Club read, is open to students in pre-school through fifth grade and is an incentive-based reading program in which a student can earn great Dion's and Isotopes gift packs by reading books throughout the spring and summer months. Students were able to pick up their Club Read brochure which they can find at their local Dion's restaurant, libraries, and Isotopes Park. From there the fun really begins as students start reading while they are on summer vacation. Thousands participated each year by completing their first scorecard followed by a record-breaking 2,137 second scorecards were completed!
Four grand prize winners were selected were Orbit's honorary guests an Isotopes game held on Friday, August 23rd. Each of the four winners received four Club Level Tickets for themselves and their family, the chance to throw out the first pitch, a certificate, an autographed baseball signed by some of the Isotopes themselves, a $20 gift card from Dion's and a large pizza to enjoy during the game from Dion's.
