In the spring of 1992, Dan Burke, then the President & CEO of Capital Cities, ABC, Inc. applied for one of two expansion franchises available at the Class AA level of Minor League Baseball. Dan's hope was to bring professional baseball back to Portland. Maine's largest city had been without a pro baseball franchise since the 1940's. One of thirteen applicants for the two franchises, Dan worked diligently to make his dream a reality. In October, 1992 Portland and New Haven were selected to join the Eastern League as new entries for the 1994 season. A sellout crowd greeted the Sea Dogs on April 18, 1994. In 2003, Dan was instrumental in bringing the Boston Red Sox to Portland as the Sea Dogs' new affiliate replacing the Florida Marlins. In 2006, the Sea Dogs captured their first Eastern League Championship. Since the teams' inception in 1994 more than seven million fans have enjoyed Sea Dogs' baseball at Hadlock Field. Dan passed away in October 2011. Today the Sea Dogs remain in the Burke family with Dan's son; Bill Burke serving as the team's Chairman and Dan's daughter; Sally McNamara serving as the team's Treasurer.

Charlie Eshbach President

Charlie Eshbach

The 2014 season will be Charlie's 41st season in professional baseball. His baseball career began in 1974 with the Elmira Pioneers (NY-Penn League). In 1975 he joined the Bristol Red Sox, Boston's Double-A team in the Eastern League. Having served in the Eastern League since 1975, Eshbach is the longest serving active member of the league. Besides his time with Bristol and Portland, Eshbach served as General Manager of the Reading Phillies and served as Eastern League President for 11 years. In 1988, Charlie served as interim President of Minor League Baseball. Charlie, the Sea Dogs' first employee, has been with the club since its inception in the fall of 1992. While with the Sea Dogs he has been selected as the Eastern League Executive of the Year in 1994 and 2002. Charlie and his wife Ann-Marie live in Falmouth and have two sons, Brian and Scott.

Geoff Iacuessa Executive Vice President & General Manager

Geoff Iacuessa

The 2014 season will be Geoff's fourth season as the Sea Dogs' Executive Vice President & General Manager and 14th season with the organization. He began his career with the team as an intern in 2001 and was hired as Director of Group Sales prior to the 2002 season. In 2004 Geoff became the Director of Sales and Promotions and after the 2006 season Geoff was promoted to Assistant General Manager for Sales and Promotions.

In 2011 he was named to the Portland Press Herald's "40 under 40" list, recognizing 40 local business leaders under the age of 40. Geoff is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts at Amherst with a degree in sport management. In addition to his work with the Sea Dogs, Geoff serves on the Make-A-Wish Maine Board of Directors, PeoplesChoice Credit Union Board of Directors, the Maine Children's Cancer Program Board of Directors, and the Portland Community Chamber's Economic Development & City Affairs Committee.

Geoff lives in South Portland with his wife Kristie and son Hudson.

John Kameisha Senior Vice President

John Kameisha

John was promoted to Senior Vice President at the end of the 2010 season. He has worked in baseball for the last 27 years. He joined the Sea Dogs in their inaugural season in 1994 as the Assistant General Manager and was promoted to Vice President in 2002. John and his wife Jennifer have two children; Daniel and Julia.

Jim Heffley Vice President, Financial & Game Operations

Jim Heffley

Jim was promoted to Vice President at the end of the 2006 season. He began working with the Sea Dogs in 1994 at the beginning of their inaugural season. He proudly anchored the Sea Dogs toboggan team to a historic last place finish at the 2007 National Championships in Camden. He lives in Portland with his wife Kelli and his two children, Jack and Maggie.

Chris Cameron Assistant General Manager & Director of Media Relations

Chris Cameron

Chris joined the Sea Dogs on a full-time basis in January of 1999 after spending two part-time years with the organization. He completed an internship with the Detroit Tigers Spring Training facility in Lakeland, Florida in 1998. With the Sea Dogs, Chris has worked in concessions, served as the team's Director of Ticketing, and Media Relations Director.

Chris was promoted to Assistant General Manager/ Director of Media Relations at the conclusion of the 2006 season. In 2005, he was named Public Relations Director of the Year for all Minor League Sports by MinorLeagueNews.com. Chris also earned Southern New Hampshire University's "Sport Management" award. He proudly serves on the "Steering Committee" for STRIVE. Chris resides in South Portland with his wife Sarah and dog Tilly.

Dennis Meehan Executive Director of Sales

Dennis Meehan

Dennis began his career in the sports industry as an intern with the Sea Dogs in 2003. Upon completion of his internship he was hired by the New Britain Rock Cats, where he spent four seasons as the teams' Director of Tickets & Corporate Sales. He joined the New Hampshire Fisher Cats organization in 2008 where he served as the Director of Ticket Sales.

In 2009, Meehan returned to his home state of Maine joining the Maine Red Claws staff. As a Senior Account Executive with the Red Claws, Meehan helped the organization sell out their first 48 home games over the course of two seasons.

Most recently, Meehan worked at the Portland Regional Chamber of Commerce as the Director of Member Services.

Dennis Carter Ticket Office Manager

Dennis Carter

Dennis brings seven years of sports industry experience. He joins the Sea Dogs from the Maine Red Claws where he served as a Senior Account Executive. Prior to joining the Red Claws in 2011, he spent four seasons in Minor League Baseball with the Salt Lake Bees as an Account Executive. He began his career in the sports industry working for the Utah Jazz as an Inside Sales Representative after graduating form Weber State University with a degree in Technical Sales. He is actively involved as a Board Member with the Center for Grieving Children. Dennis is originally from Levant and now resides in Brunswick with his wife and three children.

Courtney Rague Account Executive- Ticket Sales & On-Field Promotions Coordinator

Courtney Rague

The 2014 season will be Courtney's fourth season with the Sea Dogs. Courtney served as the Fan Photo Coordinator during the 2010 season. While finishing her senior year at Saint Joseph's College of Maine, Courtney was hired by the Sea Dogs as the Sales Director of Tickets. Courtney Graduated from Saint Joseph's in May of 2011 with a B.S. in Sports Management and a Minor in Business Administration. At St. Joseph's, Courtney played four years of varsity field hockey and served as the President of the Sport Management Student Association.

Justin Phillips Account Executive- Ticket Sales

Justin Phillips

Justin starting working in sports as an intern for the Maine Red Claws in the teams' inaugural 2009-2010 season, running the game operations and the occasional on-court emcee. Graduating from the University of Southern Maine in 2010 with a B.S. in Marketing, Justin worked in sales for multiple industries around the greater Portland area. Wanting to get back into the sports industry, Justin jumped at the opportunity to work with the Sea Dogs, and will be entering his first year with the team.

Ashley Montgomery Account Executive- Corporate Sales

Ashley Montgomery

Ashley is a Maine native with an eclectic professional background, joining the Sea Dogs in September 2013. She played Division I soccer at Bryant University in Rhode Island and returned home upon her graduation in 2010 with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication. During her time as an athlete at Bryant she volunteered for the Rhode Island Special Olympics as well as clinics and day camps for the Bryant Women's Soccer program. She continues to remain active in athletics in southern Maine.

Lindsey Oliver Account Executive- Season Tickets/ Merchandise Manager

Lindsey Oliver

Lindsey began working for the Sea Dogs as an associate intern in June of 2013 upon her graduation from Husson University with a B.S. in Business Administration with a concentration in Hospitality Management. She has coordinated corporate events, on-campus events at Husson, in addition to working in sales, marketing and merchandising for a local jewelry company. While at Husson, she served as co-philanthropy chair, treasurer and president of her sorority and was the secretary of the Student Government. Lindsey currently serves as a commissioner on the Maine Commission for Community Service.

Mike Antonellis Director of Broadcasting

Mike Antonellis

The 2014 season will be Mike's 10th season as the "Voice of the Sea Dogs." Prior to joining Portland, he spent his first season in Double-A working for the Erie SeaWolves of the Eastern League.

Antonellis hosts a talk show called the Saturday Morning Jab from 8 AM-12 PM on 96.3 FM in Portland...His other play-by-play duties include UNE Basketball and Hockey.
