Appalachian Power Park

After the Alley Cats said goodbye to Watt Powell Park at the end of the 2004 season, baseball moved to a brand new 23 Million Dollar ball park in Downtown Charleston. Palisades Baseball took over the operation and re-named the team the West Virginia Power and went with the Milwaukee Brewers as their new Major League Affiliate. Located on corner of Morris and Lewis Streets next to the Clay Center for Arts and Sciences, and the Avampato Discovery Museum, this state of the art facility features a fun, friendly, intimate and outgoing personality that will be enjoyed by everyone. With a total seating capacity of 4,500, including 14 luxury suites and 17 seating sections, the new ballpark will provide a very comfortable and fun atmosphere for fans of all ages.

The dimensions at the ballpark include a 320-foot trip down the right field line, 340 feet down the line in left, and 400 feet to dead center. Ground breaking ceremonies took place on March 18th, 2004 and the new ballpark will made its debut on April 14, 2005.
