Hit the Books

 

 

 

The Vermont Lake Monsters believe reading isessential for children all year long. Therefore, the Vermont Lake Monsters are teaming up with Price Chopper to reward kids for reading in the summertime. This program is designed to maintain children's reading skills throughout the summer.

 

 

 

What is "Hit the Books" Reading Program all about?
Any student who reads four books will be given a FREE child's general admission ticket to a 2013 Vermont Lake Monsters regular season game.

Who is eligible?
Any student in grades K-8 may submit ONE entry.

What does a student need to do?
Each student needs to read four books at his/her level of reading between June 1st and August 1st, and complete the reading log which you can download by clicking on link below.

How do I get my free Lake Monsters ticket?
Once you have read four books, mail the completed reading log along with a self-addressed stamped envelope no later than August 1, 2013 to: Vermont Lake Monsters, Attn: Reading, 1 King Street Ferry Dock, Burlington, VT 05401. You will then be sent a ticket voucher valid for one child general admission ticket to any Vermont Lake Monsters home game during the 2013 regular season. Only ONE entry per student. Reading log MUST be mailed by August 1, 2013 to the Vermont Lake Monsters. NO LATE ARRIVALS WILL BE ACCEPTED.

 

 

 

 

When Will Students Be Recognized At Centennial Field
On an August home date to be determined, all participating students will have the opportunity to be a part of the "Hit the Books" celebration, where they will be recognized on the field pre-game for their efforts and be part of a group photograph with Champ and Lake Monster players! Include your email address as all notifications will be sent via email!

*Completed reading logs must be mailed by August 1, 2012
*Reading log should be mailed to the Vermont Lake Monsters
*Submit a self-addressed stamped envelope with the reading log
*Include email address to receive updates and notifications
