Schedule the RockHounds at Your School or Event!
The Midland RockHounds Baseball Club and SockersFC are excited to offer several fun, educational activities to area students and community organizations.
SCORING IN SCHOOLS
This 45-minute program allows two members of the RockHounds' and Sockers' front office to share their experiences in professional baseball with the kids while stressing the importance of four key concepts: saying "no" to drugs, staying in school, working as a team, and being physically fit. Each topic has an activity allowing for student involvement, and, at the conclusion of the program, each student receives a voucher for a free ticket to a future game. The program also includes an appearance by our mascot, Rocky RockHound.
Schedule a RockHounds or Sockers player or front office member to visit your school and read to a class or school group. Following the session, the representative will speak briefly about the importance of reading and doing well in school, as well as answer questions from the students. While front office members are available year-round, players from both sports may only be scheduled April-September.
Tours of Security Bank Ballpark/Grande Communications Stadium
Go on a true "field" trip! The kids are led on a guided tour of Security Bank Ballpark and/or Grande Communications Stadium. As they go behind-the-scenes to the press box, suites, and clubhouses, the students learn about the history of the franchise and the daily experiences of a professional athlete. Following the tour, students are invited to play on our playground and have lunch in our picnic area. Groups may bring their own lunches or arrange a hot dog, bag of chips, and drink for only $4 per person.
Our mascots, Rocky RockHound and P.K. the Coyote, enjoy nothing more than visiting schools and celebrating the accomplishments of the students of the community. Schedule them for your next pep rally, assembly, or awards ceremony, and they will entertain and interact with the students.
