St. Lucie Mets in the Community

The St. Lucie Mets are dedicated to supporting the community that supports them. It is the team's goal to be a responsible, proactive force in the community, championing causes and helping people.

The Mets are proud to be involved in and provide numerous community programs in the Treasure Coast. Below are some of the programs the Mets are proud to make available for their fans and community.

Mets Service-Learning Program: Over the last couple of years, the Mets organization has worked to develop a meaningful service-learning program in which Mets players can participate in useful and important community-based projects in the cities in which they play. Unlike traditional volunteerism, service-learning has as many benefits for those who provide service as for those who are the recipients of it. To see how the St. Lucie Mets are implementing this program, visit the Mets Service-Learning Page.

Mets Donations:
The Mets are proud to provide tickets or memorabilia to support charitable causes. All donation requests must be submitted to the Community Relations Department 30 days in advance of the day the request needs to be filled by. Visit our Donation Requests page for more information.

Education Days:
Education Day is a day for students and teachers to take the classroom to the ballpark. The Mets invite students from all over the Treasure Coast to come to a daytime baseball game for an innovative way of learning outside of the classroom. Education Day is designed to give students the opportunity to take what they've learned in the classroom and apply it to the outside world while having a little fun at the same time!

Slide Into Reading:
The Slide Into Reading program is designed to spread the value of reading by encouraging students in grades kindergarten through eighth to read on their own while earning free tickets to a St. Lucie Mets baseball game. For more information about the Slide Into Reading program, please visit the Slide Into Reading page.

Youth Baseball:
The St. Lucie Mets are proud supporters of all youth baseball and softball leagues and are excited about their programs for teams and leagues. Bring your entire league out for a special Little League Night, with an opportunity to play games on the field the pros play on! Or bring your team out to celebrate the end of a great season by taking the field with our Field of Dreams program! Our mascot, Slider, loves attending League Opening Days too. Also, the St. Lucie Mets hold 3 baseball camps throughout the summer where you can learn baseball skills straight from the pros! For more information about our Youth Baseball opportunities, please visit the Youth Baseball page.
