PawSox Radio Broadcasts
Listen as Jeff Levering and Bob Socci call the action all season long on the radio home of the Pawtucket Red Sox.

 

 

 

Jeff Levering Jeff Levering
Levering, 29, has spent the past three seasons as the radio broadcaster for the Springfield Cardinals, the Double-A affiliate of the St. Louis Cardinals in Springfield, MO. He was also the teams Manager of Public Relations. Jeff was behind the mic as Springfield won their first-ever Texas League Championship last season.

Prior to joining Springfield, Jeff spent three seasons (2007-09) as Director of Broadcasting/Media Relations for the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes, the Angels High-A affiliate in the California League. Levering began his professional broadcasting career in 2005 as a field reporter and associate producer for Fox Sports West/Prime Ticket in Los Angeles covering the Angels, Dodgers, and Lakers.

Jeff received his degree in Broadcast Journalism from Chapman University in Orange, California where he also played baseball all four years and was the starting Designated Hitter on the 2003 D-III National Championship baseball team. Levering also played in summer baseball leagues as a teammate of Red Sox star 2B Dustin Pedroia.

 

 

Bob Socci Bob Socci
Bob Socci has spent the past seven seasons as a radio broadcaster for the Norfolk Tides the Triple-A International League affiliate of the Baltimore Orioles in Norfolk, VA. He is also the college football play-by-play broadcaster for the United States Naval Academy being heard on the Navy Football Network since 1997.

In addition, Bob called play-by-play of Navy basketball from 1997-2008 and since 2003 has done Patriot League basketball play-by-play on various television networks including CSTV, ESPNU, and CBS Sports Network.

Socci (pronounced SO-see) graduated from the University of Dayton in 1989. His first professional baseball experience came with the Peoria Chiefs in 1993, before spending six years as a radio and television broadcaster for the Delmarva Shorebirds and Frederick Keys, a pair of Baltimore Orioles Single-A affiliates in Maryland. From 2003-06 he was the radio voice of the Albuquerque Isotopes, the Triple-A Pacific Coast League affiliate of the Florida Marlins in Albuquerque, NM.

Bob, who lives in Milton, MA with his wife Monique Tello and their children Gio (2½) and Maria (1), will be on the air for all 144 PawSox games (home and away) this season. He will team with Levering who joined the PawSox full-time earlier this month after three seasons with the Springfield Cardinals (Double-A) in Springfield, MO.
