Mike Nutter

Mike Nutter Team President

Mike Nutter has been with the TinCaps since November 1999, but he has been involved in Minor League Baseball for over 19 seasons, starting as an intern with the Kane County Cougars in 1992. Mike has worked in Brevard County, Nashville and now in Fort Wayne. Mike moved into the General Manager position in September of 2000.

Mike graduated from Bowling Green State University in 1995 on the Dean's List with a Sports Management Degree. In 2004 and 2009, Mike was awarded the Midwest League Executive of the Year award. In December 2006, Mike received the Friends of Baseball Chapel award at the Winter Meetings in Orlando, Florida. Mike was also honored by the Upstate Indiana Business Journal as one of Northeast Indiana's most dynamic leaders in business under the age of 40 in April of 2007 and 2010.

Mike was married in September 2002 and his wife, Beth, enjoys a good game at the ballpark. Mike and Beth have two children, Carson Michael (born in 2003) and Katelynn Ann (born in 2005). Mike is very active in many community partnerships including: CVB Board Member, Salvation Army, and the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.

The entire Nutter family enjoys cheering for the TinCaps, Padres, Indians, and THE Ohio State Buckeyes.

When Mike was growing up, he wanted to be a professional baseball player. He did not have that chance, but his current position is close enough!

Also, if Mike could have dinner with any one person, alive or dead, it would be Jesus Christ. And if someone wrote a book about Mike's life, the title would most certainly be The Purpose Driven Life.

Finally, Mike's says he can't live without these songs on his iPod: "Release" by Pearl Jam, "Back Where I Come From" by Kenny Chesney, "Jesus Freak" by DC Talk, "Same Song" by Digitial Underground and "Baba O'Riley" by The Who.
