Justin Shurley comes to Fort Wayne after interning with the Barons, in Birmingham, Alabama. He is a 2003 graduate of Ole Miss (that is the University of Mississippi for all you Big Ten folks). He goes back to his family home of Paducah, Kentucky, every Thanksgiving and Christmas for his mother's famous macaroni and cheese.
With a Presbyterian minister for a father and high school choir director for a mother, Justin has been given the task of taking care of churches and school music programs. He is pleased to be coming to the TiinCaps staff at such an exciting time.
If you could attend any sporting event of the past, which would it be?
October 14, 2003, Wrigley Field, NLCS Game 6. And I would want a seat right beside Steve Bartman. Then I would anchor him down to his seat and anyone else in the section who looked a bit jumpy.
What is one thing that TinCaps' fans don't know about you that they would find interesting?
I am a card-carrying, life-time member at Graceland Too, a house owned by Paul McLeod of Holly Springs, Mississippi, that is dedicated to the memory of the life and times of Elvis Aaron Presley. As a museum, his house is open 24/7 for a $5 fee to non-members.
