Vice President of Business Development
Jim Flavin came to the Rainiers as an East Coast transplant born and raised in the Boston suburb of Milton, MA. He began his career in baseball with the independent Worcester Tornadoes of the Can/AM league while studying at the College of the Holy Cross. After graduating in May of 2008 with a B.A. in Economics, Jim spent one more year with the Tornadoes before making the leap across the country to become the stadium operations manager for the Visalia Rawhide, the High A affiliate of the Arizona Diamondbacks.
A summer in the triple-digit heat drove Jim to his current spot in the Pacific Northwest. He broke in with the Rainiers as a member of the Premium Ticket Sales staff, and served one season as the director of corporate partnerships before moving on to his current position as the VP of business development.
After three years with the Rainiers, Jim has finally come to realize summer doesn't start until after July 4th - but when it does, man, is it nice in the Pacific Northwest. Although a true East Coaster at heart, Jim has embraced Tacoma as his new home (even if he still can't get over how big Mt. Rainier is.) An avid Boston sports fan, he also enjoys working out, grilling with friends, music and movies, and of course, a competitive game of wiffle ball.
