Academic All-Stars Program presented by Kutztown University - Watch Video
Designed as a motivational tool for educators, the Academic All-Star Program rewards the achievements of hard working students by offering them a free ticket to an R-Phils game, along with a complimentary hot dog & soda. Students are also invited to take part in an on-field player discussion before the game.

Crazy About Reading Program
Inspired by the Crazy Hot Dog Vendor's love of literature, the Crazy About Reading Program encourages students in grades K-8 to improve their literacy skills. Young readers are challenged to read a book of their choosing for a minimum of 15 minutes per day. Students record their progress on a fun and easy to use reading log, and top performing schools are rewarded with a visit from R-Phils mascots and players! All participating students will also receive a free ticket to an R-Phils game.

School Day Program
The Reading Phillies will again offer students and teachers an opportunity to join us at the ballpark for two special day games that highlight Learning in Baseball. This unique field trip, available to all grade levels, is a great way to connect classroom learning with real-world examples in a fun and exciting environment. The School Day Program includes an R-Phils Team photo & Learning in Baseball Activity Sheet for all students, as well as an invitation to participate in a pre-game player discussion and on-field academic challenge. All participating teachers will receive a standards-based lesson plan packet that includes activities to be used before, during, and after their visit to the ballpark.
