Coaching Staff

MICKEY MORANDINI - Manager Born: 4/22/66 in Leechburg, PA… Resides: Valparaiso, IN… Is in his third season as a member of the Phillies player development staff and his second with Lakewood (A). Spent 2011 as Williamsport's (A) manager. Former second baseman and a member of the 1993 National League Champion Phillies. Played 11 seasons (1990-2000) in the major leagues, nine of them with the Phillies. Was selected to the NL All-Star team in 1995. A fifth-round selection by the Phillies out of Indiana University in 1988, Morandini had a career .989 fielding percentage at second base, committing double-digits in errors only once. For his career, he batted .268 with 32 home runs, 351 RBI and 123 stolen bases in 1,298 games. While 2011 marked his first official season as a professional manager or coach, he spent the two previous years (2009-10) as a guest instructor during spring training for the Phillies.

GREG LEGG - Coach Born: 4/21/60 in San Jose, CA... Resides: Peckville, PA... Former infielder. The 2013 season marks Legg's 32nd year with the Phillies organization after being drafted by the club in 1982. Made it to the majors in 1986 and 1987, appearing in three games. Began his coaching career with Clearwater (A) in 1994 and was activated to fill in for injured Kevin Jordan (broken leg) at Scranton (AAA). Coached in Clearwater in 1995 and Scranton in 1996. Made his managerial debut in 1997 for Batavia (A). Managed Martinsville (R) in 1998, Batavia in 1999 and Piedmont (A) in 2000. Selected as manager of South Atlantic League midseason All-Star team in 2000. Managed Lakewood (A) in 2001 and Reading (AA) from 2002-04. Returned to managing Clearwater for the 2005-06 seasons. Managed Williamsport (A) in 2007, its first season as a Phillies affiliate since 1962, and returned to Lakewood as a coach in 2008. In 2011, was honored with the John Vukovich Award, presented annually to a coach in the Phillies minor league system.

AARON FULTZ - Pitching Coach Born: 9/4/73 in Memphis, TN… Resides: Fayette, AL… Former pitcher. Pitched in the major leagues for the San Francisco Giants (2000-02), Texas Rangers (2003), Minnesota Twins (2004), Phillies (2005-06) and Cleveland Indians (2007). Was a member of the 2002 National League Champions and pitched in eight total playoff games between the Giants and Indians. Went 7-1, 3.38 ERA in 128 games over his two seasons in Philadelphia. Appeared in six combined minor league games in 2008 between Tulsa (AA) and Toledo (AAA). Spent the 2012 season, his first as coach at the professional level, at Williamsport (A). Was promoted to Lakewood for 2013.

MICKEY KOZACK - Athletic Trainer Born: 9/25/70 in Oakland, CA... Resides: Jacksonville, FL... 2013 is his seventh season as a full-time staff athletic trainer and sixth in Lakewood (A). Spent 2007 with Williamsport and served as an intern in 2006 with Scranton/Wilkes-Barre (AAA). Earned his BS in sports medicine/athletic training and MS in public health from the University of North Florida, where he also served as a graduate assistant athletic trainer for the men's soccer and baseball teams. In the offseason, he works at a physical therapy clinic in Jacksonville and has also worked spring football mini-camp with the Jacksonville Jaguars. In addition to being a certified athletic trainer (ATC), he is also a certified health education specialist (CHES).
