Braves in the Community
D-Braves Give Back to Danville
At the Danville Braves, coaches, players and staff alike all recognize how much the community has given the organization, and strive to give back to the surrounding area. No matter the season, Braves can be found out and about in the community participating in many events and working with a lengthy list of organizations. The club realizes the importance of each and every group and organization in the Danville-area, and does its best to help these great members of its hometown year-round.
The D-Braves participate in numerous charitable causes, whether it be through events, volunteering or fundraising. The club also holds several of its own events to not only assist the surrounding area, but also to encourage the development of a personal relationship between itself and the community. We realize how important being a truly community-oriented team is, both in and outside of the stadium.
Braves can be found in the community participating in things such as:
>The Danville Boys and Girls Club and Big Brothers, Big Sisters organizations
>Player appearances at local schools and youth organizations
>Live Green To Give Green: A season-long recycling promotion that benefits local charitable organizations
> 6th Annual JDRF Walk to Cure Diabetes, raising funds to help find a cure for Type 1 Diabetes
