2018 Hall of Fame Voting

Vote for three nominees from the final ballot of 10 listed below. The top three nominees with the most points at the end of voting will receive one fan vote each on the Hall of Fame Committee.

The 2018 Hall of Fame class will be announced at the Whitecaps Winter Baseball Banquet in January 2018.

When submitting your three votes, please list them in order with your top choice listed as number one.





Mike Quade ('96) - Led the Whitecaps to a 77 - 61 record and their first League Championship in 1996. Went on to coach and manage in the Major Leagues most recently for the Chicago Cubs in 2010 and 2011.

Cody Ross ('00) - Hit .267 with 7 home runs and a team-leading 68 RBI for in 2000. He was voted the 2010 NLCS MVP and played a total of 12 Major League seasons with eight different teams.

Juan Tejeda ('02) - Hit .300 with a Whitecaps record 106 RBI and 34 doubles during the 2002 season. Spent five seasons in the Tigers Minor League system, playing as high as Double-A Erie, before spending three seasons with the Pirates, Mets, and Phillies organizations.

Phil Regan ('02-'03) - A native of Ostego, Michigan, spent 13 seasons in the Major Leagues and six of those seasons with the Tigers from 1960-1965. Began his coaching career as the head coach at Grand Valley State University from 1973-1982, and went on to manage the Baltimore Orioles in 1995 before managing the Whitecaps in 2002 and 2003.

Matt Joyce ('06) - Batted .258 with 11 HR, 30 doubles and led team with 86 RBI in his one season with West Michigan in 2006. Currently in his 10th Major League Season with the Oakland As and was an All-Star in 2011.

Tom Brookens ('07) - In his one season as the Whitecaps manager he led the team to the 2007 Midwest League Championship. He went on to join the Tigers coaching staff from 2010-2013. Tom played 12 years in the Major Leagues, 10 with the Tigers including the 1984 World Series Championship.

Gorkys Hernandez - ('07) - Hit .293 with 50 RBI and a league-leading 54 stolen bases on his way to being named a 2007 Midwest League All Star and league MVP. He is in currently with the San Francisco Giants.

Avisail Garcia - ('09,'10) - Spent part of the '09 season and the '10 season with the Whitecaps. In 2010, he had 139 hits, 63 RBIs and 20 stolen bases. He is currently in 6th Major League season and 5th with the White Sox.

Nicholas Castellanos ('11) - Nicholas tied Robert Fick's record for hits in a season with 158 in 2011 (he is now third on the list). He had a .312 average with 36 doubles and seven home runs. Nicholas was named a Midwest League Post-Season All Star and now is in his 4th full season with the Tigers.

Bruce Rondon ('11) - Went 2-2 with 19 saves and a 2.03 ERA in 2011. He struck out 61 batters in 40 innings and was named to the Midwest League All Star game. Bruce has gone on to spend parts of the last four seasons with the Tigers.
