Susan G. Komen For the Cure

The Susan G. Komen Foundation was created in 1982 by Komen's sister and has since raised $1.5 billion for research, treatments, and support for survivors. In 2011, there were 230,480 reported new cases of invasive breast cancer in the United States and as many as 1 in 825 women in Virginia alone, may be diagnosed each year. With over 4,000 fans in attendance at Breast Cancer Awareness Night, the Hillcats were able to donate $7,455 to the Susan G. Komen For the Cure Foundation in 2012!
