May 27th - June 2nd

Congratulations to SP Gabriel Ynoa for being the Savannah Sand Gnats Fairfield Inn Player of the Week for the week of May 27^th! Ynoa had two great starts this week just yielding two runs through seventeen innings and he also collected ten strikeouts with no free passes. Ynoa also pitched the Gnats' first complete game of the year in his victory against the Kannapolis Intimidators on June 2^nd. His fantastic week vaulted him into the South Atlantic League lead in wins with seven. 

May 20th - May 26th

Congratulations to C Kevin Plawecki for being the Savannah SandGnats Fairfield Inn Player of the Week for the week of May 20^th! Plawecki hit an impressive .321 throughout the week with a homerun and 6 RBI. Plawecki had a critical 3-run homerun in the 6-5 victory Friday, May 24^th against the Augusta GreenJackets. Plawecki's .351 batting average is tied with teammate Jayce Boyd for tops in the South Atlantic League.

 

May 12th - May 19th



Congratulations to SP Rainy Lara for being the Savannah SandGnats Fairfield Inn Player of the Week for the week of May 12th! Lara pitched 8 scoreless innings with 9 strikeouts and allowed only 2 hits in his last start against the Augusta GreenJackets on May 16th. Lara's stellar performance has dropped his ERA to 1.17, second lowest in the South Atlantic League! May 5th - May 11th

Congratulations to OF Eudy Piña for being the Savannah SandGnats Fairfield Inn Player of the Week for the week of May 5^th! Piña batted a scorching .321 average, forced 3 walks and scored 6 runs throughout the week. Piña also had a two-homerun game with 4 RBI in the May 7^th victory against the Hickory Crawdads. Again, congrats to OF Eudy Piña for being the Fairfield Inn Player of the Week!

  April 29th - May 4th  

Congratulations to SP Matt Bowmen for being the Savannah SandGnats Fairfield Inn Player of the Week for the week of April 28^th. Bowmen pitched 8 strong innings with 8 strikeouts and 0 walks against the Kannapolis Intimidators on May 1^st. That victory was Bowmen's fourth victory as a Sand Gnat.   April 14th - April 20th



Congratulations to CF Brandon Nimmo for being the Savannah SandGnats Fairfield Inn Player of the Week. Nimmo had a superb week as he legged out 2 triples, counted for 7 runs, a HR, 5 RBI, while also forcing 3 walks. Nimmo also climbed to the league lead in AVG. by batting .500 this week.


April 4th - April 13th



Congrats to C/DH Kevin Plawecki, who starts the season off as the Savannah SandGnats Fairfield Inn Player of the Week. Plawecki begins the season with a scorching .457 AVG., roping 9 2Bs, 9 RBI and collecting his first dinger of the year.
