More than 200 participants from all over the Central Valley have competed in Junior Grizzlies over the past two years.
While the final game of Junior Grizzlies each is played at Chukchansi Park, all other games are played at the "Field of Dreams." In 2007, the Grizzlies Community Fund built the "Field of Dreams" for the Junior Grizzlies. This special baseball diamond is made out of a rubberized surface that is safe for all participants. The Grizzlies partnered with Clovis Unified School District and Granite Construction to build the one of-a-kind field at Gateway High School, located at Herndon and Sunnyside in Clovis.
The field, which ultimately cost close to $500,000 to build, was made possible by support from Fansler Foundation, SC Johnson, and St. Agnes Medical Center. In addition to using the field for all Junior Grizzlies games and practices, the field is utilized by CUSD for special education classes and district events.
