Summer Baseball Camps

Camp Dates & Times

 

Camp is from 9:00AM-2:00PM on the following dates:
Camp #1 June 22, 23, and 24
Camp #2 July 5, 6, and 7
Camp #3 August 9, 10, and 11

 

Play Ball with the Bulls!

Our popular baseball camps are back for the summer of 2017! Register your child (ages 7-14) now for three days of baseball fun with the Bulls. Camps take place on the playing field of the Durham Bulls Athletic Park.

At the beginning of each camp, kids are divided into age groups and coached by Bulls players in pitching, fielding and hitting. After a lunch break, each age group plays a game.

Registration Fee

The registration fee is $150 per child (ages 7-14) and includes lunch and a 2017 Pepsi Baseball Camp t-shirt and drawstring bag. REGISTER FOR THE CAMP HERE.

 

Camper's Check List

  • Don't forget your BASEBALL GLOVE! (Labeled with your name!)
  • Sunscreen (Also labeled with your name!)
  • Wear cool, comfortable clothing
  • Cleats are NOT permitted!
  • Baseball bats are NOT provided. If you choose to bring your own, please write your name on it.
  • Water is provided, but you may bring a sports drink.

 

Parent's Frequently Asked Questions

1. When and where is check in and drop off? 

Check in and drop off are located at the front main gates of the Durham Bulls Athletic Park Stadium (corner of Jackie Robinson and Blackwell Street) and will begin at 8:30 a.m. each morning of camp. Parents/Guardians will need to sign in their athlete(s) at drop off. Parents/Guardians are welcome to park in the grass lot on the corner of Blackewell and Morehead (free parking). Additional parking spots are available in the parking decks. If you park for fewer than two hours, parking is free, but you will be required to start a parking session via pay stations in the decks. 

 

2. When and where is check out and pick up? 

This year, check out and pick up will be inside the stadium. Parents/Guardians will need to come into the stadium, with their photo ID, in order to pick up their athlete. There will be staff and signage to direct you where to go. Parents/Guardians are welcome to park in the grass lot on the corner of Blackewell and Morehead (free parking). Additional parking spots are available in the parking decks. If you park for fewer than two hours, parking is free, but you will be required to start a parking session via pay stations in the decks. 

 

3. Can Parents/Guardians stay to watch the camp? 

Of course! We welcome parents and guardians to watch their athlete(s) interact with our coaches and players while learning and refining fundamental drills. Every parent and guardian will need a bright orange Durham Bulls Baseball Camp pass (can be acquired at the drop off table or at the front desk located on the first floor) for safety purposes.

 

4. Is there lunch provided during the camp? Vegetarian options? 

Lunch is included in the registration fee, and will be served roughly around noon each day. Day 1 includes Hot Dogs, Chips, Fruit and Gatorade. Day 2 includes Hamburgers, Chips, Fruit and Gatorade. Day 3 includes Chicken Sandwiches, Chips, Fruit and Gatorade. 

*If these options do not meet your athlete(s) dietary needs, they are welcomed to bring a bag lunch. 

 

5. Where can I find "Lost and Found" items? 

The "Lost and Found" is located at the front desk on the first floor. Please label each item brought to camp with your athlete(s) to avoid any mix ups with other athletes. 

 

6. Are the three (3) baseball camps different in any way? 

The three (3) baseball camps we offer are all structured the same way. There is no difference between the June camp, July camp or the August camp in terms of level, skill or practice. 

 

7. What happens if it rains during the camp? 

If it happens to rain during the camp, we will assess the safety procedures and go from there. If we are able to continue our scheduled activities, we will do so. If the weather does require us to stay off of the field, we have sheltered alternate baseball stations that will be utilized at that point. 

 

8. Can athlete(s) be in the same group? 

We do create our groups based on age, but if you would like your athlete(s) to be with another athlete, please notify Ashley Adams at aadams@durhambulls.com and we will do our best to accommodate that request. 

 

9. What equipment is provided and what equipment should the athlete(s) bring? 

The Durham Bulls will provide two types of baseballs for the stations depending on the specific group's age. Your athlete will need to bring their own glove and bat, and are welcome to bring any additional equipment such as: helmets and/or batting gloves. Cleats are not allowed on the field. Every athlete will need to wear sneakers or tennis shoes in order to participate in the camp. 

 

10. Will there be autographs? And if so, when? 

At the end of each camp day, we will set up tables and chairs for our players and coaches to sign autographs. We ask that each athlete only bring up one (1) item for the players and coaches to sign.

Cancellation/Refund Policy

Cancellations made two weeks prior to the starting date of enrolled camp will be refunded $100 of the registration fee. After deadline, no refunds will be given. For more information, contact Ashley Adams at aadams@durhambulls.com.
