Tommy Thrall has been broadcasting sports professionally for the past ten years. Before joining the Blue Wahoos, he spent the last two seasons in the St. Louis Cardinals organization with their Single-A affiliate, the Quad Cities River Bandits. While in the Quad Cities, he also worked on local radio and television stations in the offseason announcing high school and college football, basketball and baseball games.
He began his career in broadcasting working for both his university and the Kansas City T-Bones of the independent Northern League, while still earning his degree in broadcasting from Northwest Missouri State University. Besides baseball, he is also well versed in football and basketball play-by-play.
