Pat Borders

Born: Columbus, OH
Resides: Lake Wales, FL

Former catcher… 2017 marks his third season at the helm of Williamsport… With just 10 more victories, Borders will set the Crosscutters mark for most career wins by a manager... Last year he managed the team to a 39-36 record and a 2nd place finish in the Pinckney Division… Led the club to the Pinckney Division Championship and a league best record of 46-30 in 2015… Played 17 years in the major leagues for nine teams… Finished his career with a .288 batting average and 69 home runs… Defensively, threw out 31.4% of runners attempting to steal over his career and led all American League catchers in assists three straight years (1992-94)… Was a member of the 1992 and 1993 World Series champion Blue Jays and was named MVP of the 1992 World Series… Played in five MLB postseasons... Also played for Team USA in the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney, Australia, winning a Gold Medal.


Hector Berrios
Pitching Coach

Born: Santurce, PR
Resides: Weston, FL

Former pitcher… Returns to Williamsport for a second season as pitching coach. .. Previously worked as a minor league pitching coach for the Dodgers (2011-14), Mets (2003-10), Blue Jays (1998-2002) and Tigers (1997)… Spent eight years pitching in the minor league systems of the Royals (1984-85), Tigers (1987-90), Angels (1991), Dodgers (1992) and Cubs (1992)… Was the pitching coach for the Brooklyn Cyclones in the NYPL 2002-2003 & 2006-2008.



Tyler Henson

Born: Oklahoma City, OK
Resides: Frederick, MD

Former infielder… Joins the Phillies player development staff this season after spending 2016 as a player/coach for Clearwater (A)… Originally selected by the Baltimore Orioles in the 5th round of the 2006 draft… Played 10 seasons (2006-15) in the minor leagues, including the final four in the Phillies organization with Reading (AA) and Lehigh Valley (AAA)… Finished career with a .263 batting average, 235 doubles, 67 home runs and 137 stolen bases in 1,058 games.



Kris Terrian
Athletic Trainer

Born: Pensacola, FL
Resides: Orlando, FL

2017 marks his first season with the Phillies organization… Was Boston's minor league assistant athletic trainer in 2016 after spending six years (2010-15) as an athletic trainer with the US Ski & Snowboard Association… Attained his master's degree in health science from the University of St. Augustine last year and his bachelor's degree in athletic training from the University of South Florida in 2010… Also a certified strength and conditioning specialist.



Scott Smith
Strength & Conditioning Coach

Born: Spartanburg, SC
Resides: Milledgeville, GA

Joins Williamsport in 2017 after spending last season with Lakewood (A)… Previously held the same position in the minor league systems of the Miami Marlins (2014-15), San Diego Padres (2011), Tampa Bay Rays (2010) and Washington Nationals (2009)… Spent three years (2012-14) as strength and conditioning coach for all sports at Georgia College & State University, where he earned his bachelor's degree in exercise science and master's degree in human performance.
