About "The Joe" - Capital Region's summer home for family fun!
Joseph L. Bruno Stadium is where the Tri-City ValleyCats have called home since their inception in 2002. Located in the center of the tri-city area of New York's Capital Region (Albany, Schenectady and Troy), the 'Cats play 38 home games at "The Joe" from June through September. It has become known as the premier baseball complex, named after the New York State Senate Majority Leader who helped secure the funds for the ballpark. Members of the prestigious fourteen team New York-Penn League, the ValleyCats have opened the eyes of many fans in the area, and are striving to enhance the fan experience each season. Every night at "The Joe" features affordable family fun in a safe and clean environment. Don't forget to visit the Kids Zone located down the third base concourse, which features plenty of fun & exciting games for kids of all ages!
In 2016, the ValleyCats wrapped up their 15th Anniversary season, averaging 4,281 fans per game, which is 95% to stadium capacity!
In 2017, the ValleyCats will celebrate their 16th season while also hosting the 2017 New York-Penn League All-Star Game! A short season Class-A affiliate of the Houston Astros, the ValleyCats compete in the New York-Penn League. The league consists of 14 teams, including affiliates of the Mets, Yankees, Red Sox, Orioles, Phillies, Nationals, Indians, Pirates, Rays, Marlins, Cardinals, Tigers, and Athletics.
