Greg Floyd - 2013 Champion

The winner of the ValleyCats 2013 Media Bobblehead Bracket Buster Tournament is CBS 6 News Anchor Greg Floyd. Floyd is representing Hannah's Hope Fund, who will receive a $1,500 cash donation and will be a partial game sponsor on Monday, August 19 at "The Joe." Greg Floyd will be immortalized into a bobblehead as a giveaway to the first 1,500 fans through the the gates on August 19. Hannah will be incorporated into the design of the bobblehead.

Floyd defeated News Channel 13 Sports Director Rodger Wyland. His charity, the Thomas Patrick Morrison Foundation, will receive a $1,000 cash donation. The third and fourth place charities, Ronald McDonald House on behalf of Benita Zahn, and Make-A-Wish Foundation on behalf of Bob Kovachick, will each receive a $500 cash donation. All of the charities in the contest will be recognized on August 19.

Tournament Information

 

The Tri-City ValleyCats have selected 16 prominent personalities of the Capital Region television, radio and print media to participate in a month-long bracket buster tournament to determine who becomes the next media bobblehead giveaway at "The Joe!" Each participant has selected a charity that they will represent throughout the entire tournament. Fans will vote each week up until Monday, April 8, when the winner will be announced.

The winning media personality will be immortalized into their very own bobblehead doll, to be given away to the first 1,500 fans through the gates at "The Joe" on Monday, August 19. This participant's charity will receive a $1,500 cash donation and also sponsorship of the giveaway night. The runner up's charity will receive a $1,000 donation and third place $500. Each charity will be recognized at "The Joe" during the game.

PRELIMINARY ROUND: Thursday, March 7, 10:00 a.m. - Sunday, March 10, 9:00 p.m.  

ROUND OF 16: Monday, March 11, 10:00 a.m. - Sunday, March 17, 9:00 p.m.

ROUND OF 8: Monday, March 18, 10:00 a.m. - Sunday, March 24, 9:00 p.m.

FINAL FOUR: Monday, March 25, 10:00 a.m. - Sunday, March, 31, 9:00 p.m.

CHAMPIONSHIP ROUND: Monday, April 1, 10:00 a.m. - Sunday, April 7, 9:00 p.m.
