Benefiting the Boys & Girls Club of Greeneville
The 2013 Astros 5K, presented by Atmos Energy, benefiting the Boys & Girls Club of Greeneville will be held on Saturday, August 10th at 8:00am at Pioneer Park in Greeneville, Tennessee. The run will start on the campus of Tusculum College, winding through a scenic hiking trail of Tusculum, ending with a lap around the warning track of Pioneer Park, the baseball stadium for the Greeneville Astros.

The Early Entry fee is $13 per participant until race day. The Race Day entry fee will be $15. Proceeds will benefit the Boys & Girls Club of Greeneville. Early Entry Participants are guaranteed a T-shirt, while all other registrants will receive an event T-shirt as available. All participants will receive one General admission ticket to a Greeneville Astros home game.
The top male and female and master's male and female finishers of the 5K will receive the opportunity to throw out a ceremonial pitch at a Greeneville Astros home game and will receive a plaque. There will be trophies for the top three male and female finishers in each of the seven age groups (Under 12, 13-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and over 60).

The Boys & Girls Club of Greeneville and Greene County is a unique youth service organization serving children and young adults throughout Greeneville and Greene County, Tennessee. Our goal is to provide every child with the essential tools needed for a successful and bright future. Each day, the Boys & Girls Club of Greeneville & Greene County strives to improve each child's life by implementing self-esteem, courage, and positive values through various educational programs. Our youth receives daily tutoring, computer training, sports education, homework assistance and mentoring. Our club is a place where youth can gain confidence by developing a sense of usefulness and belonging.
