.246 BA 21 RBIs .321 SLG
Casey Bond has kept active in baseball since leaving Keizer, but not in a traditional way. He isn't playing for another team, scouting, or coaching. He's acting. After being released by the Giants in 2009, Bond pursued a career on the silver screen and has appeared in multiple movies, television shows, and commercials since then. The most notable of these being "Moneyball", the academy-award nominated film starring the likes of Brad Pitt, Philip Seymour-Hoffman and Robin Wright. In the film Bond plays the role of submarine relief pitcher Chad Bradford. When asked about his experience on the set he remarked that:
"To have moved out here [Los Angeles] only 6 months prior, and to all of a sudden be acting toe to toe with Brad Pitt, Philip-Seymour Hoffman and Jonah Hill was incredible. Truly a blessing."
Most recently Casey starred as Scooter in the film "Ring the Bell" which is being released in early April 2013. He has also recently appeared on the hit show Nashville and produced and directed multiple short films. Although he is not currently training to re-enter the world of professional baseball, he says that when it comes to his future, nothing is out of the question.
