John Nolan

Radio Broadcaster Intern

John Nolan joined the TinCaps as the Broadcasting and Media Relations Assistant in March of 2013. Nolan received his undergraduate degree in broadcast journalism from Syracuse University.

At Syracuse, Nolan worked for WAER Radio, where he called play-by-play of Orange football, basketball, and lacrosse, as well as WJPZ Radio, where he served as Sports Director and called high school football, SU women's basketball, and SU women's lacrosse games. In addition, Nolan covered Syracuse's Olympic sports for CitrusTV and Orange All-Access.

Prior to arriving in Fort Wayne, Nolan was a broadcast and media relations intern for the Syracuse Chiefs, the Triple-A affiliate of the Washington Nationals, in 2012. Nolan has also worked in baseball as a play-by-play broadcaster for the Falmouth Commodores of the Cape Cod Baseball League during the summer of 2011.

A native of Edison, N.J., Nolan grew up fruitlessly rooting for the Mets, Jets, and Nets. Outside of baseball, Nolan enjoys running, word play, and the 2-3 zone defense.
