Executives

Shelby Nelson Director of Florida Operations

Shelby Nelson

Shelby enters his 16th year in the Blue Jays organization, and his ninth as Director of Florida Operations. Shelby joined the Toronto Blue Jays in 2001 as an Account Executive. In 2003, he was promoted to Manager of Product Development, and eventually became the Manager of Group Sales. In 2007, Shelby was named Director of Retail Sales before joining the Dunedin Blue Jays as GM in 2008.

He studied Sports Management at York University in Toronto, Canada, and currently resides in Palm Harbor, Florida with his wife and three children.


Mike Liberatore General Manager

Mike Liberatore

Mike is beginning his seventh full season with the Blue Jays and his third as General Manager after joining the staff in 2011 as Manager of Corporate Sales and Service.

He is originally from Rochester, NY prior to his family relocating to Port Charlotte, FL. Mike played collegiate baseball locally at St. Petersburg College and later at Embry-Riddle University, where he graduated in 2003.

In his spare time, Mike enjoys kayaking, fishing, and following the Buffalo Bills and Sabres.


Finance and Accounting

Gayle Gentry Accounting Manager

Gayle Gentry

Gayle Gentry joined the staff in March 2011 as the Accounting Manager. She is originally from Danville, Illinois and a graduate of Southern Illinois University. She and her Husband, Harry, have been in Florida for 15 years and enjoy the weather year round.

When Gayle is not cheering for the Blue Jays, she is trying to keep track of what their 8 grandchildren are up to. Her hobbies are baking for staff (thanks Gayle!), raising orchids and knitting.


Community Relations

Kathi Beckman Manager, Retail Sales and Community Relations

Kathi Beckman

Kathi begins her 12th season with the Dunedin Blue Jays. She joined the team in 2006 as an Account Executive and was promoted to Manager of Group and Retail Sales, Community Relations in 2009.

 

Kathi is originally from Clarkson, Michigan and attended Michigan State University. She resides in Clearwater with her husband Ryan, daughter Reese and lovable yellow lab, Zoe. Pay her a visit at the Jays Shop this season!


Box Office


Jacqueline Purcell Manager, Ticket and Box Office Operations

Jacqueline Purcell

Jacqueline joined the Blue Jays staff in the fall of 2017 as the Manager of Ticket and Box Office Operations. She is originally from Port Huron, Michigan but moved here from Phoenix, Arizona where she worked for Salt River Fields at Talking Stick and most recently the Arizona Coyotes. Previously her other roles included Mobile Marketing for the Ali Sports Dew Tour and Guest Service Manager for Barrett-Jackson Classic Car Auctions.

Jacqueline resides in Palm Harbor and when she is not out exploring her new area, she can be found running (January will be her 30th Half Marathon and 8th Full), playing trivia, or watching movies.

Zac Phelps Manager, Security and Stadium Operations

Zac Phelps

Zac joined the Blue Jays in January of 2010. He grew up in Lawrenceville, GA and currently resides in New Port Richey with his wife and two children.

When Zac isn't installing new seats, pressure-washing the concourse, remodeling the bullpen, putting up billboards or raising First Half North Division Championship banners at Dunedin Stadium, you can find him under the hood of a car. Or several. Zac is the proud owner of (at least) two Ford Mustangs, and he enjoys listening to "The Bobby Bones Show" during his morning commute.

For reasons undetermined, Zac simultaneously supports the Boston Bruins and Dallas Cowboys.

Coordinators

Allasyn Lieneck Coordinator, Graphic Design

Allasyn Lieneck

Allasyn began working with the Blue Jays in January of 2017. Her background in baseball includes two summers with the Bourne Braves of the Cape Cod Baseball League and an internship with the Harrisburg Senators. She attended Nichols College (Dudley, MA) and Florida Southern College (Lakeland, FL) where she obtained degrees in Sports Management and Communications all while playing 4 years of softball. Since graduating, Allasyn has had the opportunity to play ball internationally, take numerous cross country road trips, catch up on playing video games and adopt a Siberian husky named Ezekiel.


Matthew Woak Coordinator, Ticket Operations

Matthew Woak

Matthew Woak joins the Blue Jays front office staff after serving as the team's In-Game Host during the 2017 season and Spring Training Coordinator during the 2018 spring. His baseball career started in Mahoning Valley where he served as the Scrappers' In-Game Host and stadium DJ from 2014-2016. Off the field, Matt enjoys golf, music, and Cleveland Browns football (Poor Matt!).
