BlueClaws & Education

The BlueClaws offer a wide variety of programs for schools and teachers throughout the season. Below, learn more about these programs and call 732-901-7000 option 3 with any additional inquiries.

Most Improved Student

The BlueClaws recognize the Most Improved Students across Monmouth and Ocean Counties at April games each season. 2017's dates are April 17th, 18th, 27th, and 28th. Students are nominated by their teachers and receive a free ticket to one of four pre-selected BlueClaws games. At this game, they are invited down onto the field before the game for a special ceremony with the other Most Improved Students.

Education Days

The BlueClaws will hold two Education Days at FirstEnergy Park - Wednesday, May 24th and Tuesday, June 6th with each game starting at 11:05 am.

These games are great opportunities to reward students with an educational and exciting outing at the ballpark.

Educational programs and packets will be given out the day of the game that combine baseball and education.

Most Valuable Teacher

The BlueClaws will recognize the area's top educators with the Most Valuable Teacher program at their game on May 23rd, presented by the NJEA. Nominate your favorite teacher, who receives a complimentary ticket to the game and gets recognized in a pre-game ceremony.

For more information, contact Mike Kasel at 732-901-7000 ext 195.

Buster's Reading Program

Buster's Reading Program returns this year, and once again, students that read a minimum of five books will receive a free ticket to a 2015 BlueClaws home game in May (except May 24th). Please contact Jacob Tannen at 732-901-7000 ext 125 or jtannen@blueclaws.com who will provide complimentary bookmarks.

Fundraising Opportunities

Area schools take advantage of fundraising opportunities throughout the year. The BlueClaws offer two kinds of fundraising opportunities as noted below.

Standard Fundraising Program: Groups buy 250 tickets at $7 each and re-sell them for $11 each, raising $1,000. There are also opportunities to work the concession stands to raise additional money.

Fundraiser FlexPacks: Groups purchase a minimum of 25 books, each containing five ticket vouchers, valid at any 2017 BlueClaws home game. Each book is purchased for $35 and re-sold for $55, to raise at least $500. This does not include the opportunity to raise additional money by working in the concession stands.

Field Usage Opportunities

Numerous high school teams take advantage of the facility at FirstEnergy Park by playing their own game here. Teams have the opportunity to move a regular-season game to FirstEnergy Park if each team participates in a BlueClaws Fundraiser Outing (standard). The BlueClaws also provide a PA-announcer and a scoreboard operator for your game.
