John Traub Vice President

John TraubJohn has been involved in the management of the Biloxi Shuckers since the team's inception in 2014. As Vice President, John has been involved with establishing the franchise's brand as well as construction of MGM Park. John is also involved in the management of the Shuckers' business and baseball operation. He splits his time between Biloxi and his full-time role as Vice President/General Manager of the Albuquerque Isotopes of the Triple-A Pacific Coast League. John will be entering his 29th year in professional baseball during the 2016 season.

Upon taking over as General Manager of the Isotopes in September 2003, John Traub has presided over a period of immense team growth and success. The Isotopes continually rank in the top 10 in attendance among all Minor League teams and in just 14 years of existence, the team has drawn nearly eight million fans. Under John's stewardship, the 'Topes and Isotopes Park have consistently hosted large events that have had a national scope, including Major League exhibitions, Manny Ramirez's 2009 rehab assignment, and the 2011 Triple-A Baseball National Championship Game.

John was named 2007 PCL Executive of the Year and the team was singled out for recognition as well, receiving the John H. Johnson Award as the PCL's best overall franchise. The team also received the prestigious 2007 Bob Freitas Award from Baseball America as the most complete franchise in Triple-A Baseball. John was also presented with the 2007 Ambassador Award by the City of Albuquerque Convention and Visitor's Bureau and currently serves on the board of directors for the Gildan New Mexico Bowl

John co-authored his first book in 2012, entitled "Baseball ... A Helluva Life" - telling stories of the legendary life of Minor League Baseball executive Dave Rosenfield. The book is available online at The Los Angeles native began his career in 1988, serving as a public relations intern for the California Angels, where he remained as an intern for the better part of four seasons. He also worked as a public relations intern for the Los Angeles Dodgers during their 1988 post-season. He is a 1987 graduate of UCLA, earning a BA degree in psychology. John, his lovely wife Liz, and their two children, Joe and Sophie, live in Albuquerque along with Walter, their Wire Fox Terrier.

Chuck Arnold General Manager

Chuck ArnoldChuck joined the the Shuckers in January, 2016 after spending two seasons with the Pensacola Blue Wahoos, where he served as Sales Director prior to being promoted to Vice President of Sales. During his time with the Blue Wahoos, Arnold oversaw the entire sales department including corporate, season ticket and group sales, leading their team to sales records in corporate and group sales for both seasons.

Prior to joining the Blue Wahoos, Arnold spent eight years as General Manager of the Johnson City Cardinals, Appalachian League affiliate of the St. Louis Cardinals. His career in MiLB began with the Johnson City club serving two seasons as the Assistant General Manager. Arnold also a brief stint as an Assistant Baseball Coach at King University and taught as an Adjunct Instructor of Sports Marketing at Milligan College.

Chuck currently serves on the Southern League's Board of Directors and March of Dimes Executive Leadership Team.

A native of East Tennessee, Chuck attended Milligan College where he earned a bachelor's degree in Human Performance and Exercise Science and was also a member of the Buffaloes baseball team. Following his time at Milligan, he attended East Tennessee State University and received a master's degree in Sports Management.



Hunter Reed Assistant General Manager

Hunter ReedHunter enters his first season with the Shuckers. Prior to joining the Shuckers, he worked 12 seasons for the Appalachian League's Greeneville Astros and 10 as the Assistant General Manager. His duties for the Astros included gameday production, in-game promotions, maintaining the team website, online store orders, media relations, layout of the official game program, coordinating player appearances, and assisting with group and corporate sales.

Previously, Hunter served as the Director of Marketing and Media Relations for the Astros during 2006 and worked as an operations assistant during the 2005 season. Hunter's experience included the classroom, serving as adjunct faculty at East Tennessee State University, teaching Sport Marketing and Public Relations courses.

During Hunter's time in Greeneville, the Astros were awarded the Appalachian League Promotional Award of Excellence from 2007-2009; Baseball America's Bob Freitas Award (Short Season) in 2008 and the Appalachian League Community Service Award in 2016. The Astros took home the Appalachian League Championship during the 2015 season.

Hunter received his B.S. (2001) and M.A. (2005) in Sport Management from East Tennessee State University in Johnson City, TN. He was active in the community, which included serving as the President of the Kiwanis Club of Greeneville. Hunter and his wife Sabrina are each natives of East Tennessee.




Chris Birch Business Development Manager

Chris BirchChris will be entering his third season with the Shuckers in 2017. Chris was recently awarded the Southern League's inaugural Patriot Award for his work with local military. He led team efforts to strengthen the bond between the Shuckers and military initiatives.

Prior to the Shuckers, Chris worked in professional hockey for eight years. He moved to the Gulf Coast in 2005 and joined the Sea Wolves (ECHL). When the organization ceased operations due to damages sustained by Hurricane Katrina, Birch relocated to Chicago, Illinois and joined the sales and sponsorship efforts of the Chicago Wolves (AHL). Chris returned to Mississippi in 2006 to help rebuild professional hockey on the coast. He served as Chief Operating Officer and later team President through the transition of the Sea Wolves to the Mississippi Surge (SPHL).

Chris graduated from the University of Florida with a degree in sports management from the College of Health and Human Performance. Originally from Oak Park, Illinois, he lives in Gulfport with his family.


Allan Lusk Box Office Manager

Allan LuskAllan is entering his sixth season in Minor League Baseball and third with the Shuckers. He began as a Ticket Sales Executive with the Shuckers before becoming Box Office Manager. Prior to the Shuckers, Allan served as a Customer Service/Ticket Office Representative with the Corpus Christi Hooks where he focused on ticket sales and operations. He also worked with the Bowling Green Hot Rods as the Ticket Operations Assistant. His career began as the Assistant Director of Tickets and Group Sales with the Kinston Indians in 2011.

Allan graduated from East Carolina University with a degree in Sports Studies with a minor in Business Administration and is originally from Raleigh, North Carolina. In his free time, he enjoys going to other sporting events, fishing, and lounging on the beach. His favorite sport teams are the East Carolina Pirates, NC State Wolfpack, Atlanta Braves, and Carolina Panthers.


Layton Markwood Ticket Sales Executive

Layton MarkwoodPrior to the Shuckers, Layton served as an Event Logistics Intern at Charlotte Motor Speedway where he did whatever was needed to improve the fan experience. He also spent time working in the live concert industry with Live Nation Entertainment and Music Farm.

Originally from Columbia, Maryland, Layton graduated from the University of South Carolina with a B.S. in Sport and Entertainment Management in May of 2016. In his free time, he enjoys kicking back to music, playing and watching sports, and exploring. His favorite sports teams are the Ravens, Orioles, Gamecocks, and Wizards.


Deven Matthews Ticket Sales Executive

Deven MatthewsDeven is entering his 3rd season with the Biloxi Shuckers as a Ticket Sales Executive. Prior to the Shuckers, Deven served as an Athletic Marketing Assistant with Southern Miss Sports Marketing. Deven graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi with a Sport Management degree and is originally from Ocean Springs, MS.

Deven is a former collegiate athlete and enjoys playing basketball, collecting shoes, and watching ESPN. His favorite sports teams are Southern Miss Golden Eagles, Oklahoma City Thunder, Houston Texans, and the Biloxi Shuckers.


Theo Bacot Corporate Sales Executive

Theo BacotThis is Theo's third season with the Shuckers. The Shuckers are the fourth baseball team that he has worked for. His first job in sports was with the Durham Bulls the summer of 2010. Theo also spent one year working for the Myrtle Beach Pelicans Baseball team and another year working in the CPL for the Wilmington Sharks.

Theo graduated from East Carolina University with a Sports Studies degree and Communications minor and is originally from Raleigh, NC. In his free time, he enjoys attending sporting events, attending concerts, golfing and kayaking. His favorite sport teams are the Biloxi Shuckers, East Carolina Pirates, Carolina Panthers, Charlotte Hornets, Carolina Hurricanes, and the North Carolina Tar Heels.



Jenifer Truong Community Relations & Promotions Coordinator

Jenifer TruongJenifer is entering her fourth season with the Shuckers and second as Community Relations Coordinator. She served as Sales and Marketing Coordinator the past two seasons. Jenifer serves as a board member for Biloxi Main Street. Prior to the Shuckers, she spent three years working with the men's basketball team at Southern Mississippi. She created brochures and flyers for camps, clinics, and events, assisted with team travel, and coordinated ball kids.

Jenifer graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi with a degree in sport management, and is from Pass Christian, MS. In her free time, she enjoys traveling to different places, spending time at the beach, playing with her dogs Trixie, Ellie, Blaze and Prince.

This is her first experience in baseball.

Megan Ondrey Retail Manager

Megan OndreyMegan begins her fifth season in Minor League Baseball and second with the Shuckers. Megan is originally from Long Island, New York and still cheers for the Mets and the Jets every season.

She attended Methodist University in North Carolina and graduated with a degree in Business Administration and a minor in Sport Management. For the past three years she has worked for the Durham Bulls Baseball Club and spent last season as the Merchandise Assistant Manager.

To continue her love of sports she spent last off season working with the Carolina Hurricanes in the merchandise department as well as concerts like Taylor Swift and The Rolling Stones.

Megan is very excited to still be living in the south and near plenty of ocean once again.




Chris Harris Director of Media Relations & Broadcasting

Chris HarrisChris will be entering his 10th season in Minor League Baseball in 2018 and fourth with the Shuckers. Prior to the Shuckers, Chris served as Vice President of Communications and Broadcaster for the Jackson Generals for six seasons, earning his first SL Broadcaster of the Year award in 2013. Chris appeared numerous times on Seattle Mariners' spring training broadcasts and also broadcasted regular season games in 2013. Chris led PR efforts for the Shuckers' move into MGM Park after a 54-game road trip in 2015 and oversaw the national coverage of the historic beginning of the franchise. He was awarded his second Southern League Broadcaster of the Year in 2017.

Chris graduated from Bethel University with a business management degree in 2007 and is originally from Lexington, Tennessee. Chris began his college baseball career at Motlow State CC in Tennessee, leading the TCCAA in home runs in 2004 and 2005. Chris still holds Tennesssee state baseball records, ranking second in career RBI's with 208, fourth in home runs with 48 and sixth in batting average at .469.

In his free time, he enjoys traveling, watching sports and playing basketball and golf. His favorite sports teams are the University of Memphis Tigers, Memphis Grizzlies and his fantasy football team.

Chris' first job in baseball was for the West Tenn Diamond Jaxx in 2009 as Manager of Media Relations and Broadcasting.

Amy Johnson Creative Services & Production Manager

Amy JohnsonAmy is entering her fourth season in Minor League Baseball and second with the Shuckers. She oversees the creative department of the Shuckers, including the video production and graphic design efforts, along with game entertainment. Amy began her baseball career in Texas with the Corpus Christi Hooks, where she started out as a Video Production intern and later became the Video Production Coordinator. Amy primarily produced, shot and edited a monthly television show for the team, along with contributing her creative efforts to the videoboard with video and motion graphics.

Born and raised in Round Rock, Texas, Amy is a proud graduate of the University of Texas at Austin where she majored in Journalism with a focus in sports and broadcast. While in Austin, she spent more time at UFCU Disch-Faulk Field cheering on the horns than she spent in class.

Away from MGM Park, Amy enjoys spending her time outside running, kayaking and playing with dogs, or checking out local breweries and concerts.

Trevor Matifes Director of Stadium Operations

Trevor MatifesTrevor begins his third season with the Shuckers in 2017. Prior to the Shuckers, Trevor served as the Stadium Operations Assistant with the Pensacola Blue Wahoos, where he assisted the Facility Manager with the general upkeep of Pensacola Bayfront Stadium along with managing the game day staff. He also spent a year working for the Kansas City T-Bones of the American Association.

Trevor graduated from the University of Saint Mary with a sport management degree and is originally from Alton, Illinois. In his free time, he enjoys watching St. Louis Cardinals baseball, going to the beach and spending time with friends and family. His favorite sports teams are the Cardinals, Rams and Blues.

Will Lairamore Head Groundskeeper

Will LairamorePrior to the Shuckers, Will served as the Athletic Turf Supervisor at the USA Stadium in Millington, TN, where he was responsible for the upkeep of USA Stadium grounds along with four city recreational baseball and softball fields. He also spent five years working for Middle Tennessee State University baseball, being responsible for complete maintenance and upkeep of the MTSU baseball field and complex. Will also served as a grounds intern for the Double-A Jackson Generals in 2013 and Triple-A Louisville Bats.

Will graduated from Middle Tennessee State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Agriculture Business and is originally from Maryville, TN. Will and his wife Melanie were married this past October and now reside in Biloxi. In his free time, he enjoys watching football on the weekend, playing basketball and hanging out with his gorgeous wife and beagle, Brewer. His favorite sports teams are the Milwaukee Brewers, Tennessee Titans and Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders.

Mike Brulatour General Manager

Mike BrulatourMike enters his third season with the Shuckers. Prior to joining the Shuckers, Mike served as Ovations General Manager for Autozone Park and the Memphis Redbirds. Over the years Mike has seen his signature ballpark favorites featured on The Food Network and Rachael Ray's Ballpark Cafe.

You are certain to find something delicious at MGM Park. Mike claims to of invented the peanut - who are we to argue.

Lisa Turner Accounting & Human Resource Manager 

Lisa TurnerLisa begins her third season with the Shuckers in 2017. Prior to the Shuckers, Lisa spent 19 years in Healthcare Administration.

Lisa graduated from Mississippi Gulf Coast Junior College with an Associate's degree in science and is originally from Gulfport (Orange Grove Area).

In her free time, she enjoys Florida beach trips, painting, and time with family and friends. Her favorite sports teams are Ole Miss softball and The Brew Crew. Lisa would like to give a shout out to her two children Katelyn Turner and Matthew Turner, both of whom serve in the National Guard with the 1108th TASMG.


Jourdan Natale Administrative Assistant

Jourdan enters her second season with the Shuckers. She graduated from MGCCC with an Associate of Arts Degree and is originally from Gulfport, Mississippi.

In her free time she enjoys playing softball, shopping, and spending time with family and friends.

Her favorite sports are fast pitch softball and baseball.

This is Jourdan's first career in baseball and she is excited to be making history with the Biloxi Shuckers.
