Jeff Hurley Chief Operating Officer / General Manager

Jeff HurleyJeff will be entering his 16th season with the Trenton Thunder and fourth as Chief Operating Office/General Manager. A native of Hamilton, NJ, Hurley played baseball at nearby Steinert High School and was a pitcher at DeSales University in Allentown, PA graduating with a degree in Accounting before joining the Thunder front office as an intern in 2004.

He was hired as a Group Sales Representative following the 2004 season and has held the titles of Media Relations Assistant, Community Relations and Baseball Operations Manager, Baseball Operations and Accounting Manager, Director of Finance and Baseball Operations and Chief Financial Officer over his years with the Thunder.

As Chief Financial Officer, Hurley oversaw the financials for both Garden State Baseball and Food Service America in addition to handling all of the team's baseball operations.

In addition to his role with the Thunder, Hurley has served as a member of the Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Hamilton Young Professionals organization since 2013 and on the Robert Wood Johnson University Hamilton Audit Committee for one year in 2016. In 2017 Hurley was recognized as the Robert Wood Johnson Hamilton Young Professional of the Year voted on by his peers. Hurley also sits on the Board of Directors for the Hamilton Area YMCA, Miracle League of Mercer County and MidJersey Chamber of Commerce, the Executive Leadership Committee for the American Heart Association and the Hamilton YMCA Advisory Council.

Jeff is a resident of Hamilton, NJ where he lives with his wife Kacie, his newborn son Carson, and their dog Maddux - who was adopted through the NorthStar Vets Dog of the Day program.

Eric Lipsman Senior Vice President, Corporate Sales & Sponsorships

Eric LipsmanEric is one of the last remaining members of the original Thunder Front Office. He joined the Thunder organization in December of 1993 as the team's Director of Marketing & Merchandising. In 2001, Eric became the Executive Director of Marketing for both the Thunder and their sister team the Lakewood BlueClaws (Single-A Affiliate of The Philadelphia Phillies in the South Atlantic League). In September of 2005, Eric was promoted to the Vice President of Marketing for both clubs and in November of 2009, he was named Senior Vice President of Corporate Sales for the Thunder.

Eric oversees all aspects of marketing for the Thunder including national, regional and local sponsorships, promotional night giveaways, and in-game promotions. He is also the editor of the Thunder Yearbook. He is a member of the Saint Joseph's University Sports Marketing Advisory Board, which instituted a Sports Marketing Major at the school in the fall of 2011. He also lectures on Sports Marketing and the Business of Baseball at Saint Joseph's University. Eric works closely with the Yankees on all the Major League Rehabs that have been here since 2003, plus he coordinates the recording at Yankee Stadium of all the Yankees Video Greetings that are seen here on the Thunder Video Board before every game.

John Fierko Vice President, Ticket Sales

Image Coming SoonJohn began his second stint with the Thunder as VP of Ticket Sales before the 2016 season after establishing the Thunder ticket office in its inaugural season in 1994. During his first time with the team, he implemented sales and marketing strategies for the team as their Director of Ticket Sales. In 2015, prior to joining the organization, John spent time with Comcast SportsNet as Advertising Sales Manager and three years with the Lakewood BlueClaws (Single-A Affiliate of the Philadelphia Phillies) as Director of Season Ticket Sales. Prior to Lakewood, John was Director of Ticket Sales for the Trenton Devils and spent four years with the ECHL League Office as Director of Team Services. John also worked for more than eight years with the NBA's Philadelphia 76ers as Assistant Director of Client Relations and Box Office Manager. A graduate of The College of New Jersey with a degree in criminal justice, John resides in Yardley, PA with his wife Gerri, daughters Victoria, Mariana & Angelina, and three dogs Rico, Luna & Milo.

Lydia Rios Vice President, Marketing

Lydia RiosLydia brings 22 years of sales experience in the Central Jersey marketplace to the Thunder Corporate Sales department. As VP of Marketing she oversees corporate partnerships, services local accounts and provides leadership in the team's sales department. Lydia resides in Hamilton with her husband Ruben and three sons Tyler, Gehrig and Aaron all of whom are avid Yankee fans and play baseball as well. Can anyone really ever have too much baseball in their lives?


Corporate Sales

Juli Donlen Corporate Sales Manager

Juli helps Bucks & Mercer County area businesses and organizations grow their enterprises through partnerships with the Trenton Thunder, and is responsible for generating sponsorship revenue for the organization. Juli oversees fulfillment of business partnership elements, including promotions, signage, tickets, VIP hospitality and game day activations.

A native of Levittown, PA, Juli graduated from St. Thomas University in Miami, FL with her Bachelor of Arts degree in Sports Administration. She started her career in sports in the NBA with the Philadelphia 76ers in their Promotions and Live Events Department. Baseball was always her passion, however, so she joined the Camden Riversharks of the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball in 2012 as a part of their Promotions and Creative Services team. Juli joined the Akron RubberDucks team in 2013 after Ken Babby took ownership of the then-Akron Aeros, and spent six seasons with the organization. The 2019 season will be her first with the Thunder.

Juli also has a passion for the arts, and enjoys attending Broadway shows and the Pennsylvania Ballet. She was a member of the auxiliary board for Ballet in the City, an organization that presents professional ballet performances, programming, and events in cities around the nation, cultivating and enhancing the unique culture of ballet in each location and beyond. She is also a die-hard University of Miami football and Philadelphia Phillies fan, and Chase Utley will always be her favorite ballplayer (no matter what team he's on).

Accounting and Finance

Trevor Hain Controller

Trevor HainTrevor is in his second tenure with the Thunder after working as the Finance Assistant during the 2013 Eastern League Championship Season with the Thunder. He graduated from Susquehanna University in 2012 with a double major in Finance and Economics. Trevor spent time working for the Major League Soccer League offices and Wyndham Hotel Group between his stints with the Thunder. In his free time Trevor tries to spend as much time possible on the golf course. He currently resides in Manasquan, NJ.


Jon Bodnar Director, Ticket Sales

Jon BodnarJon joined the Thunder after spending the 2014 and 2012 seasons with the Lehigh Valley IronPigs as a full-time Ticket Sales Associate and a GameDay Intern. Born and raised in Sewell, New Jersey, Jon graduated from Washington High School then went on to attend James Madison University graduating with a degree in Marketing. He currently resides in Mount Laurel, NJ.

Sean O'Brien Box Office Manager

Sean O'BrienSean is awesome. He is from Cinnaminson, NJ and graduated from Marshall University with a degree in Sports Management. In the past he has worked with the Camden Riversharks, Trenton Titans, and Memphis Redbirds in a variety of roles. Sean is a big hockey fan and a staunch supporter of the Philadelphia Flyers, as well as the other Philadelphia sports franchises, Valencia CF, and his Marshall Thundering Herd. In his free time he enjoys spending time with his family and friends, trying new things, and travelling.

Jackie Mott Database Manager

Jackie MottJackie assists the Thunder's Ticket Sales department by managing their database of customers and aiding in managing Box Office operations. Jackie is originally from Lynbrook, NY and graduated from Quinnipiac University in 2015 with a BA in Mathematics. She spent the 2016 season with the Thunder as Finance Assistant, and she joined the team full-time as Database Manager prior to the 2017 season. Jackie is a diehard Yankee fan and baseball fan in general. She is on a quest to visit every MLB stadium - at least one new one every year (15 and counting!) She also enjoys drawing and painting in her free time, and she spends many weekends traveling back to Long Island and Connecticut to visit family and friends.

Bernadette Marco Ticket Sales Account Executive

Bernadette MarcoBernadette graduated from Lock Haven University of Pennsylvania with a B.S. in Sport Administration in 2015. After spending two summers as an intern for the Reading Fightin Phils she joined the Thunder as a Ticket Assistant before the 2016 season. As an avid Yankee fan, she was happy to witness Derek Jeter's 3000th hit at Yankee Stadium. Baseball is her favorite sport and she enjoys the atmosphere of working in the family friendly environment of Minor League Baseball. In her free time she likes hanging out with family and friends, working out, dancing, and attending sporting events.

Tommy Kay Ticket Sales Account Representative

Tommy KayTommy joins the Thunder after spending 2017 with the Wilmington Blue Rocks as a Ticket Sales Assistant. Kay hails from Springfield, NJ and graduated from Temple University with a degree in Sport and Recreation Management. While at Temple, Kay completed internships with the Philadelphia Soul and Burlington County Division of Parks.

Ted Smallwood Ticket Sales Account Representative

Ted Smallwood Ted joined the Trenton Thunder prior to the 2018 season. He is originally from Upstate New York leading to his avid fandom of the New York Jets and Yankees. He graduated from Penn State Abington in 2016 with a degree in Business Management. Prior to joining the Thunder, Ted worked as a Group Sales Assistant for the Wilmington Blue Rocks.

Tyler Gleason Ticket Sales Account Representative

Tyler GleasonTyler Gleason joins the Thunder on a full-time basis after spending the 2018 season as the Group Sales Coordinator. Tyler graduated from West Virginia Wesleyan College where he studied Sports Management and Communications as well as played collegiate soccer for all four years. Tyler is a passionate Manchester United and Philadelphia sports fan and enjoys attending games during the off-season as well as playing soccer, listening to new music, and playing Fortnite. Tyler currently resides in Edgewater Park, NJ.

Brian Davis Group Sales Account Executive

Brian DavisAfter joining the Thunder in 2015 as a Finance Assistant, Brian Davis has been in the Group Sales Department for the last 3 seasons. He is a 2014 graduate of the University of Pittsburgh and loves his Panther Football and Basketball teams. Brian resides in Wilmington, DE with his wife Katie and is a avid fan of the Super Bowl LII Champion Philadelphia Eagles, the Philadelphia Phillies, and country music.

Matt Hillman Group Sales Account Executive

Matt HillmanMatt joined the Thunder before the 2016 season. He graduated from Rider University with a degree in Public Relations and a minor in Sports Business. Matt was born and raised in Hamilton, NJ and has followed the Trenton Thunder since he was three years old! In the past he has worked with CBS Radio and the Trenton Titans. Matt is a huge Philadelphia sports fan, and is still not over the Eagles Super Bowl victory. In his free time, Matt enjoys spending time with family and friends, travelling, and attending concerts.

Kevin Brady Group Sales Account Executive & Internship Coordinator

Kevin BradyKevin joined the Trenton Thunder prior to the 2016 season. He is originally from Massachusetts, and currently resides in Furlong, Pennsylvania. He graduated from Penn State Abington in 2015 with a degree in Business Administration, Marketing and Management. Prior to joining the Thunder, Kevin worked for the Philadelphia Union, and the Philadelphia Soul. Kevin is an avid New England Patriots fan despite having no relation to Tom.

Seth English Group Sales Account Executive

Seth EnglishSeth joins the Thunder in 2018 after spending the 2016 and 2017 seasons with the State College Spikes. The very first Thunder game he worked was the 2018 Home Run Derby, followed by the All-Star Game. Seth was born in Maryland, lived in South Carolina, and went on to graduate from the University of South Carolina with a degree in Sport and Entertainment Management in 2016. Despite being a Baltimore Orioles fan, he has never been to Camden Yards nor has he flown on a plane! Seth currently resides in Philadelphia.

Casey Borish Group Sales & Special Events Representative

Casey BorishCasey joined the Trenton Thunder as a Community Relations/Administration Assistant before the 2016 season. After the season, she was promoted to All-Star Game & Promotions Coordinator. In this role, she oversaw the promotions on-field during the season and helped coordinate the planning for the 2018 Eastern League All-Star Game in Trenton. Casey graduated from Holy Family University in May 2015 with a BA in Sports Marketing-Management. She previously worked as game-day staff for the Philadelphia Phillies. When she's not watching Philadelphia sports teams, Casey enjoys getting out onto the tennis court and adding to her impressive movie collection. She was born and raised in Northeast Philadelphia, but currently resides in Swarthmore, PA.

Matthew Lutz Group Sales Account Executive

Matthew Lutz graduated from University of Northwestern Ohio in June 2018 with a Bachelor's Degree in Sports Management and Marketing. Matt started in the sports industry with the Lehigh Valley IronPigs for 2 years. A baseball player for almost 15 years, Matthew spends a lot of his free time following his beloved Philadelphia sports teams- of which he is a die hard 4-for-4 fan! As he has witnessed the Philadelphia Eagles win a Super Bowl, Matthew feels his life is complete. Some of his favorite quotes are - "Life is just a place where we spend time between games" - Fred Shero, as well as "Trust the Process" - Joel Embiid.



Joe Pappalardo Director, Merchandising

Joe PappalardoJoe began working with the Thunder in 2001 and brings a wide range of experience to the organization. Joe oversees the year long operation of the Thunder Company Store and the Thunder's internet retail merchandise sales. Joe earned a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting from the University of Bridgeport and an MBA in Sports Management and Marketing from Seton Hall University.


Media Relations

Jon Mozes Director, Broadcast & Media Relations

Jon MozesJon joined the Thunder in April of 2014 after he spent two seasons announcing for baseball teams in Abilene, TX and Gary, IN. In concert with his role as the Director of Broadcasting and Media Relations at the Thunder, Jon is the voice of Princeton University Volleyball and Women's Basketball as well as the sideline reporter for Princeton Football on ESPN+. Additionally, Jon is a radio and ESPN+ broadcast talent for Rider University's Men's and Women's Basketball programs. A Philadelphia native, Jon graduated from the University of New Haven (CT) in 2012 with a degree in Sport Management and a minor in Communications and serves as an Ambassador for the Lower Bucks County Chamber of Commerce.

Spenser Smith Broadcast & Media Relations Assistant

Spenser SmithSpenser started his first season with the Thunder in 2018 after spending the 2017 baseball season as the broadcaster for the Florence (KY) Freedom of the independent Frontier League, where he won the league's Robert Ford Broadcaster of the Year Award. His other career stops include Portland, Oregon; Lancaster, California; Palm Springs, California; and his hometown of Walla Walla, Washington. A 2014 graduate of Northwest Nazarene University (Nampa, ID), Spenser enjoys reading, working out, and listening to classic rock and metal as well as comedy podcasts.

Food Service

Kelly Kromer Director, Food & Beverage

Kelly KromerOriginally from Nazareth, PA Kelly started in food service with the Lehigh Valley IronPigs for five seasons. After graduating college, she became the Concessions Manager for the Indianapolis Pacers. She then moved on to become the Operations Manager of Aramark at the Kansas City Convention Center. While working for Aramark, Kelly had the opportunity to assist with the 2015 World Series in Kansas City and helped open the new US Bank Stadium in Minneapolis. In her free time, Kelly enjoys riding her two horses, Thunder and Blitz, as well as cooking and traveling.


Corey Anderson Chef

Corey AndersonCorey was hired into the food service and catering department for the Thunder prior to the 2007 season. He was named Executive Chef for the team in 2015 and is responsible for catering the Yankee Club & Conference Center, the Luxury Suite and Picnic areas at ARM & HAMMER Park. Corey currently resides in Trenton, NJ.


Stadium Operations

Bryan Rock Director, Baseball & Stadium Operations

Bryan RockBryan joined the Thunder's Food & Beverage department in 2013 and was named Stadium Operations Manager after the 2015 season and accepted the title of Director in 2018. He graduated from Nottingham High School in 2011 where he played hockey, lacrosse, soccer and baseball for the Northstars. Bryan grew up in Hamilton, NJ and has become a lifelong Thunder fan, attending many games with his family growing up. Better known as the creator of the Thunderdog, Bryan is excited for another season of Thunder baseball!

Jason Smith Head Groundskeeper

Jason SmithThe Thunder are pleased to welcome Jason Smith as Head Groundskeeper after one season working with the Baltimore Orioles Groundscrew. While with the Orioles, Smith worked under former Thunder Groundskeeper, Nicole Sherry, and will embark on his ninth season working in turf management. Smith was raised in Ames, Iowa and graduated from O'Gorman High School in 2004 (Sioux Falls, SD). While in college at the University of Northern Iowa, Smith played baseball and had Tommy John surgery performed by Dr. James Andrews before beginning his career in field and turf management with the Cedar Rapids Kernels (Minnesota Twins, Class-A).

Shane Eldridge Stadium Operations Manager

Shane EldridgeShane joins the full-time staff after spending the 2018 season as the Stadium Operations Assistant. Born and raised in Midland Park, NJ, Shane graduated from William Paterson University in 2017 with a degree in Sports Management. Previously, Shane has interned with the Rockland Boulders, the New York Lizards, and Rutgers University in their Facilities Department. Shane grew up playing competitive baseball and still has aspirations of playing some day.

Creative Services & Entertainment

Dee Lugo Director, Creative Services

Dee LugoDee Lugo is an Ocean City, New Jersey native and a Philadelphia local. While she misses her summers on the beach, she is excited to be a part of the Thunder Entertainment Experience. Dee graduated from Rowan University with a Bachelor's Degree in Radio/TV/Film, go Profs! She finished her Spanish Minor while abroad in Valencia, Spain. Dee spent the 2015 baseball season with the former Camden Riversharks in their Creative Services department. Prior to joining the Thunder, she worked for NFL Films in their camera department and Comcast SportsNet Philadelphia as a Studio Technician. When not working, Dee enjoys cooking (more importantly eating), being crafty, and hanging out with her family and friends.

Dylan DeSimine Manager, Web & Creative Services

Dylan DeSimineDylan joined the Thunder in 2018 after spending the 2017 season with the Wilmington Blue Rocks as Web & Creative Services Assistant. Dylan graduated from Rowan University with degrees in Journalism and Radio-TV-Film in 2016 and began his career in sports shortly afterwards - starting out as a seasonal member of the Eagles Television Network for the 2016-2017 season. Dylan still does freelance work with the Philadelphia Eagles and can work a Spongebob, Seinfeld, or Star Wars reference into almost any conversation.

Morgan Schroll Front Office Manager

Morgan joins the full-time Thunder staff after spending the 2018 season as the Finance Assistant. Morgan graduated from the University of Delaware in 2017 with a B.S. in Organizational and Community Leadership while also playing four years of collegiate softball. In her free time Morgan enjoys going to the beach, spending time with family and friends, and watching the Yankees.
