Aaron Artman President

Aaron Artman

Aaron took over as President of the Rainiers in 2007. He led the $30 million renovation of Cheney Stadium, in addition to securing a long term lease that keeps professional baseball in Tacoma

Prior to arriving in Tacoma, Aaron was instrumental in growing Mandalay Baseball Properties into one of the premier sports ownership entities in the country, leading sales and marketing efforts for Mandalay's flagship franchises in Frisco, TX, Dayton, OH, and Las Vegas, NV.

His experience outside of baseball includes leading the Windows consumer marketing division for Microsoft's OEM Marketing Team, where he drove partnerships with top PC manufacturers to launch Windows ad campaigns and marketing partnerships, worldwide.


Shane Santman Vice President of Sales

Shane Santman

Shane is a graduate of Gonzaga University with a degree in Sports Management. Upon graduation Shane began his career with the Rainiers and is currently Director of Ticket Sales.

In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his wife Ali, new son Cash, two dogs- Rocky and Rambo, and his family and friends. In his free time, he enjoys camping, boating, and being an avid Seattle Seahawks fan.

Tim O'Hollaren

Tim O'Hollaren was born and raised in Longview, WA. He graduated from Washington State University in May of 2013 with a bachelor's degree in advertising and a minor in sport management.

While at Wazzu, Tim joined Delta Sigma Phi Fraternity and served two years on the Elected Leadership Member Board.

With the Rainiers being Tim's first stop in his athletics career, he has gained valuable experience and is looking forward to seasons ahead.

He enjoys golfing, hanging with friends, spending time with his family and a good poker game. Go Cougs!

Chris Aubertin Group Events Manager

Chris Aubertin

Chris returns to the Rainiers after a four-year absence, having spent two years each with the Houston Astros and New Hampshire Fisher Cats. His first tour of duty in Tacoma was during the 2006-09 seasons, where he helped the organization achieve several attendance and sales records. Prior to working for the Rainiers, he spent two years in the sales department for the Berkshire Black Bears and the Somerset Patriots.

A native of Connecticut, Chris graduated in 2001 from Post University with a degree in Management. Outside the ballpark, Chris is an avid follower of the New York Yankees, New York Giants, & Chicago Bulls along with being an aficionado in music, travel, and useless info (thanks to Wikipedia).

 


Caitlin Calnan Director of Group Sales and Event Marketing

Caitlin Calnan

Caitlin begins her career in baseball with the Rainiers as a Group Event Coordinator. Born and raised in Olympia, WA, she played club soccer her whole life among other sports, and attended Tumwater High School. She went to Central Washington University to play soccer at the collegiate level, and graduated in 2014 with a Bachelor's in Business Marketing and a Sports Business Certificate.

As a Pacific Northwest native, Caitlin loves attending Seattle sporting events (Go Hawks), camping, and going out on the lake. You can find her at any country concert, spending quality time with her family, or hanging with her two golden retrievers, Cash & Vonn.

Tony Canepa Creative Director

Tony Canepa

Tony Canepa and his creative team have received wide recognition for their work by taking home three national ADDY awards, along with 13 others, including two Judges' Choice Awards, at the local and district levels. This puts them in a class by themselves for in-house sports creative at any level.

As Creative Director for the Rainiers, Tony focuses on crafting a fan experience that is more engaging and more visually appealing. Whether it's your season ticket book, The Dirt game program, promotional posters, video board graphics, ribbon board animations or the Rainiers gear you are wearing; it all has Tony's creative touch.

Tony got his start in sports as the mascot for the UNLV Runnin' Rebels and the Las Vegas 51s. After overseeing creative and entertainment operations for multiple MiLB teams for Mandalay Sports Group, he became Creative Director for (former Rainiers owners) Schlegel Sports. In 2010, he moved to the Pacific Northwest to focus directly on the Tacoma club and has been enjoying the stunning summers, excellent snowboarding and world-class cocktails and restaurants ever since.


Brett Gleason Media and Communications Manager

Brett Gleason

Brett is a proud graduate of Washington State University and die-hard supporter of Cougar Athletics. During his time at WSU, Brett spent four years writing for the student newspaper, The Daily Evergreen, and served as the publication's Sports Editor for one semester.

When away from the office, Brett enjoys watching sports, playing video games, and spending time with friends and family.

 

 

 

 


Victoria Woodards Director of Community Development

Victoria Woodards

Victoria Woodards has been proud to call Tacoma the "City of Destiny" her home for nearly her entire life. She is a proud graduate of Lincoln High School, a US Army Veteran and has worked in the public, private and nonprofit sectors. Before joining the Rainiers as Director of Community Development, she was the President/CEO of the Tacoma Urban League.

For over three decades, Victoria has served as a passionate leader in our community in many ways. She served as an elected member of the Metro Parks, Board of Park Commissioners from 2004-2009 and the Tacoma City Council from 2009-2017. She was Deputy Mayor in 2014 and during her tenure served in several capacities including chair of both the Tacoma-Pierce County Board of Health and the Gang Reduction Task Force. She was also on the boards of the Foundation for Tacoma Students (Graduate Tacoma) and the Crystal Judson Family Justice Center.

A few of her former community activities include chair of the Washington State Commission on African American Affairs, Trustee for the Washington State History Museum, and Producer of the region's largest celebration of diversity "Ethnic Fest".

Victoria believes, "We make a living by what we get, we live by what we give."

Game Entertainment


Casey Catherwood Game Entertainment Director

Casey Catherwood

Casey took over Game Entertainment in the year 2015. He has taken great pride in bringing a new energy and life to the ballpark's atmosphere from music to video, new mascot hijinks, and opportunities for fans to get a little looser at Cheney Stadium.

Prior to arriving in Tacoma, Casey spent his time trying to become a rock star, showing his artwork in small Seattle art galleries, and mentoring teenagers in his hometown of Redmond, Washington. He is particularly proud of his time coaching perennial third place finishers, the Redmond Bears: an 8th grade boys basketball team who may have never led the league in any statistical category, except heart.

When he is not feverishly working away on a Rainiers game script like a mad scientist, Casey enjoys painting portraits of boxers, writing half-brained pilots for television shows, and eating fresh corn.

Randy McNair Public Address Announcer

Brett Gleason

Born and raised in the Fern Hill neighborhood of Tacoma, Randy has been enthralled with the entertainment world since a child, whether it was acting, singing or making his own movies for his family and friends.

His announcing career took flight as a junior in high school when he asked his principal if he could make the morning P.A. announcements. Soon after, he took over the P.A. duties for the school's basketball and volleyball teams and its history from there.

Becoming the Rainiers' Public Address Announcer has been a dream come true for Randy. You can often see Randy walking the concourse before games, looking for that special "Play Ball!" kid to start the game.

When away from ballpark, he's spending time with his wife and two daughters and following the Seattle Mariners.

Julia Falvey

Julia began serving as the Director of Partner Development for the Rainiers in 2013 after establishing her professional career in the non-profit community.

She and her husband, Joey, live in Tacoma with their dog, Zooey. When not representing the Stars, Julia enjoys cooking, music, and being outdoors.

Taryn Duncan grew up in Littleton, Colorado and graduated as part of the inaugural Sport Management class from the University of Colorado Colorado Springs in 2012.

During her senior year, she was the first student from her university to complete an internship with Everton Football Club of the Barclay's Premier League in Liverpool, England. She traveled back to England the following summer as a volunteer with Team USA for the 2012 Olympic Games in London.

Before joining the Rainiers in September 2013, she was Community Affairs Manager and On-field MC for the 2013 South Atlantic League Champions Savannah Sand Gnats in Savannah, Georgia.

Taryn loves to snowboard, practice yoga and travel. She supports her hometown Colorado Rockies and Denver Broncos. She was raised a southerner at heart and a University of Tennessee football fan, as her mom's side of the family has been in Knoxville for generations.

Yvette Yzaguirre

Yvette has worked in various parts of the sports industry but has found her passion in baseball. She began her career in Minor League Baseball with the Connecticut Tigers in 2012, and spent the following three seasons with the Spokane Indians Baseball Club. Now she proudly joins the Tacoma Rainiers and starts her 6th Season in MiLB as the Rainiers Corporate Partner Services Coordinator.

Yvette is from her desert home of Pasco, Washington and moved to Moscow, ID in 2009 to attend the University of Idaho where she graduated in December of 2013 with Bachelors of Science degrees in Marketing and Management with a Human Resource Emphasis.

In her spare time Yvette enjoys working out, traveling, going to sporting events, and hanging out with friends. She also has a challenging name so encourages nicknames (YY, Yve, Vett, Vetti, Elv, and Corvette).
