2017 Carolina League All-Star Game Info

For the first time since 2006, the Carolina League All-Star Classic is returning to the Roanoke Valley! The Salem Red Sox will host the 2017 Carolina League All-Star Classic on Tuesday, June 20, presented by IceByrd Frozen Yogurt! The Sox are also hosting a Hitting Challenge, presented by Sierra Nevada, at historic Kiwanis Field on Monday, June 19, with a special Fan Fest and Block Party to celebrate the event!

The 2017 Hitting Challenge, presented by Sierra Nevada, features some of the best hitters in the Carolina League going toe-to-toe on behalf of charities, as they try to drive the ball out of historic Kiwanis Field, the home of Carolina League baseball in Salem from 1968 until 1995. The contestants will square off in a bracket-style challenge, but only one slugger can reign supreme!

Gates will open for the Hitting Challenge at 6 PM, with the event beginning at 7 PM. Parking will be in front of Haley Toyota Field at Salem Memorial Ballpark, with a free shuttle taking fans down to the old stadium. These buses will run on a loop all night.

The Sox are so excited to get back to our old stomping grounds at Kiwanis Field that we're throwing a Fan Fest and Block Party to celebrate with our fans! The All-Star Block Party will be held behind the left field wall on 6th Street. This event begins at 4:30 PM and is FREE to the public.
