Dan Reiter Vice President & General Manager

Dan Reiter A lifelong St. Louis Cardinals fan, Dan got his start with Cardinals Baseball by winning the Fox Sports TV contest, "Payin' Your Dues" in May of 2004.

Since joining the Springfield Cardinals prior to the inaugural season in 2005, Dan has gone from the last Account Executive hired all the way to Vice President/General Manager, with various sales and marketing positions along the way. As the second General Manager in Team History, Dan is equally excited to lead the greatest staff in all of minor league baseball and also be a presence in the community interacting with fans.

Dan has always and will continue to put a focus on being active in the community, both through new community relations programs with the Cardinals and serving on a variety of Board positions in the community. Now, Dan can be seen using his artful gift of gab to volunteer as an emcee/auctioneer for various charity events in town.

A graduate of Springfield Catholic High School, Dan attended the University of Missouri-Columbia, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and a Minor in Psychology. While at Mizzou, Dan was a co-founder of the designated driver program STRIPES, and also served as the first Vice-President of Lambda Chi Alpha while the fraternity was re-chartered his senior year.

Dan was married in September of 2011 to the lovely Heather Anderson. After a series of adventures together the two have embarked on the crazy journey of parenthood, welcoming Andy (or DR3 as Dan calls him) to the world in July of 2015. Life, as well as the carpets, have never been the same. Andy seems to be following in Dad's footsteps chattering to anyone he can and loving life at Hammons Field.

Fans are always welcome to contact Dan with comments, ideas or concerns.

Scott Smulczenski Vice President of Baseball & Business Operations

Scott Smulczenski Scott came to Springfield by way of St. Louis, where he worked as the Director of Minor League Operations for the St. Louis Cardinals.

Scott is excited to now be a "Springfieldian" and continue to help make the Springfield Cardinals a success in the community. Scott and his wife Kelly have two daughters (Danielle and Hanna) and a Polish Retriever (Bailey). He enjoys coaching basketball, watching the UT Longhorns play football and rooting for the St. Louis Cardinals.

Brad Beattie Director of Market Development

Brad Beattie The 2018 season marks Brad's first with the Springfield Cardinals after serving as the General Manager at US Baseball in Ozark.

Prior to US Baseball, Brad had a 32-year career in the grocery industry with Procter & Gamble and Del Monte before joining the Senior Staff for regional grocery chain Price Cutter Supermarkets.

Before starting his grocery career, Brad played collegiate baseball, finishing at Missouri Southern State University, then professional baseball in the Baltimore Orioles organization.

Being involved in the community continues to be Brad's passion, especially as it involves the little round ball. He organizes the annual Champion Athletes of the Ozarks softball clinic, runs the Play it Again Sports high school fall wood bat league, and created the local college/adult baseball league. He organizes and participates with the Men's Senior Baseball League team that has been representing the Springfield area in the annual amateur World Series since 1995.

It's a privilege to work with an organization, community and team members that I am passionate about. While Brad's dad and brother also played professionally in the American League, it will be an easy transition to their new battle cry, "Go Cards!"

Brad is a 1984 graduate of Missouri Southern, an ecstatic husband to Lyn, a proud father to Brittney, Beau and Breann, and an exhausted grandfather to his eight grandchildren.
