Andy Shea President & CEO

Andy Shea

Andy Shea started with the Legends as a Ticket Sales Representative and parking attendant during the 2005 season and later served as General Manager for four years, from 2008 through 2011. He served as President and Chief Operating Officer from 2011-2014 before becoming CEO.

Andy graduated from Boston College in 2004 with a degree in marketing and human resources. While at Boston College, he played baseball for two years as a catcher and center fielder for the Golden Eagles.

Andy serves on the boards for LexArts and Junior Achievement. He has been an active "Big Brother" in the Big Brother/Big Sisters program for more than six years.

Andy was the champion of both the 2013 and 2015 "Dancing with the Lexington Stars" event. The 2015 event supported the Rotary Club Endowment Fund, which provides a wide range of benefits for young people, including scholarships; and Surgery On Sunday, a non-profit organization that provides free outpatient surgical services for those who cannot afford insurance and are not eligible for federal or state programs.

Andy is a native of Philadelphia, and is a proud fan of the Phillies and Eagles.



Sue Martinelli Shea Secretary and Principal

Sue Martinelli Shea

Sue is the baseball loving mother of Andy and Steve Shea, her greatest accomplishments.

She is also the president and founder of Dancing with the Students, a 501c-3 non-profit organization which teaches ballroom dancing, manners and respect to inner city students in and around Philadelphia. Her former career as a special education teacher spanned fifteen years and five states. Sue is a proud graduate of Boston College and holds a masters degree from Johns Hopkins University.



Gary Durbin Executive Vice President & General Manager

Gary Durbin

Core Job Function: Managing the upkeep of the facility, security & police, parking, special events and general ballpark aesthetics.

A Lexington native, Gary joined the Legends in April 2001. Gary spends his days dealing with issues such as managing the upkeep of the facility, security & police, parking, special events and general ballpark aesthetics. Prior to joining the Legends staff, this all-around sports enthusiast enjoyed a 16-year career in hospital operations at a large successful hospital in Lexington. Gary lives in Lexington with his wife, Lynne, and their children, Brett and Lynley. In his spare time, he enjoys watching his kids compete in their respective sports, enjoys playing golf, and spending time with family and friends.


Shannon Kidd Director of Stadium Operations & Human Resources Manager

Shannon Kidd

Core Job Function: Overseeing a variety of areas including purchasing, retail and merchandise branding, volunteer program, college internship program and overall the staffing for the Legends.

Shannon has been with the Legends since they made their debut in the great city of Lexington in 2001. She started her sports career with the Lexington Legends and with her positions, Shannon oversees a variety of areas including purchasing, retail and merchandise branding, volunteer program, college internship program and overall the staffing for the Legends. She was honored to receive the 2015 SAL Female Executive of the year. Before coming on board with the Legends, Shannon was a District Manager with Blockbuster Video. Shannon is originally from Hazard, KY but calls the great town of Lexington home. In her spare time she enjoys golfing, walking her dog Bailey, and spending time with her wonderful family and friends.


Ty Cobb Creative Marketing Director

Ty Cobb

Core Job Function: Marketing, Graphic Design, Branding, Signage, Media Buying, Media Relations, PA Announcer, Music Producer

Ty joined the Lexington Legends staff in 2009 and currently serves as the Creative Marketing Director. Ty began his professional baseball career serving as the Marketing/Community Relations intern in 2008 with the Omaha Storm Chasers (formerly Royals). While in Omaha, Ty had a successful internship that featured among other things, a promotion in honor of him, rare for an intern. 'Ty Cobb Night' was a night to honor the intern who shares the name, and was born on the same day as the famous baseball Hall of Famer, Ty Cobb of the Detroit Tigers. The promotion gained national attention, being featured on ESPN's First Take as well as being selected as a winner of one of the Veeckies in ESPN the Magazine, an annual award celebrating the best promotions in Minor League Baseball.

Ty played an integral part in leading the revitalization of the Legends new branding during the 2013 offseason and continues to build the Legends brand. Ty is originally from Humboldt, IL and it is there where he found his true passion for baseball by hitting balls into cornfields and throwing baseballs against horse barns. He attended Central College in Pella, Iowa graduating in 2007 with a B.A. in Art and also earning a varisty letter in tennis. He is an avid University of Illinois Fighting Illini, Chief Illiniwek, Chelsea FC and St. Louis Cardinals fan who enjoys watching tv shows and attending sporting events such as Talladega Superspeedway and Eldora Speedway with members of his family every year. In 2010, he met his wife, Christine, at the ballpark and they married in Lexington during the 2014 offseason. They enjoy traveling, photography and visiting historic places, and currently reside in Lexington.


Sarah Bosso Vice President of Business Development

Sarah Bosso

Core Job Function: Manage all aspects of the Community Relations, Promotions/Fan Experience and Special Events departments while also working with other staff to develop marketing efforts specifically related to merchandise, social media, television/radio and print advertising.

Sarah rejoined the Lexington Legends in October of 2016 as the Vice President of Business Development after spending two seasons in the California League with the High Desert Mavericks (High A - Texas Rangers) as the Assistant General Manager. Sarah was previously with the Legends as Director of Community Relations and Special Events (2012-2015) and Director of Business Development (2015).

Sarah is a Navy brat, claiming Missouri as her "home state" as she was born in Kansas City, Missouri. She attended the University of Missouri in Columbia and graduated in 2005 with a Bachelor's degree in Human Environmental Sciences. Post Bachelors, Sarah taught high school for 4 years (2005-2009) in the Family and Consumer Sciences department at Rock Bridge High School in Columbia, MO. Sarah then attended the University of Kentucky for her Master's degree in Merchandising, Apparel and Textiles, graduating in 2011. She enjoys being outdoors, cheering on the Mizzou Tigers, Kentucky Wildcats, St. Louis Cardinals and Kansas City Royals (yes, all of them!), shopping, road trips and spending time with close friends and her dog, Dakota.



Nick Juhasz Director of Video Operations & IT

Nick Juhasz

Core Job Function: To manage, engineer, maintain and troubleshoot every facet of A/V production and IT infrastructure

Nick joined the Lexington Legends staff in 2009 and currently serves at the Director of Video Operations/IT. Nick is responsible for maintaining A/V and IT equipment, managing a production team, managing digital archives, producing TV/website broadcasts, pre/post-game episodes, and video board content. Before joining the Legends, he held a similar position with the Akron Aeros, the Double-A affiliate of the Cleveland Indians. Prior to his career in sports production, Nick worked at a litigation support firm in Bellaire, Texas as a research specialist.

Nick studied Mass Media Production at the University of Akron and graduated in 2003 with a Bachelors degree. He went on to graduate school at the University of Houston and graduated in 2006 with a Masters degree in Mass Communication Studies.

A Houston Astros, Cleveland Indians, and Cleveland Cavaliers fan, Nick also roots heavily for the collegiate troika of the Houston Cougars, Akron Zips, and Ohio State Buckeyes.

A native of Fox Meadow CC in Medina, Ohio, Nick often makes trips back to Northeast Ohio to visit his family. He enjoys playing basketball, tennis, and golf and making last minute travel plans.



Jesse Scaglion Director of Corporate Sales

Jesse Scaglion

Core Job Function: I help businesses grow with the Legends through valued partnerships and marketing opportunities. I specialize in branded plastic cups and awkward photos.

Jesse joined the Lexington Legends in October 2015 as a Senior Corporate Sales Executive, and was promoted to Director of Corporate Sales after the 2016 season. Prior to joining the Legends, Jesse spent 7 seasons with the Binghamton Mets (AA) as a Special Events Coordinator and the Binghamton Senators (AHL) as an Account Executive.

Jesse was born and raised in New York City and enjoys traveling the world, cooking and supporting a number of sports teams including the Yankees, NY Rangers, NY Giants and yes, even the New York Knicks.


Mike Allison Director of Group Sales

Mike Allison

Core Job Function: Corporate Events, Suite Rentals, Family Functions, Church Outings and To Create Memories one pitch at a time!

Mike Allison, or Mykraphone Mike, as commonly referred to while on-field, has come back home to the Lexington Legends and Whitaker Bank Ballpark. Mike started his Lexington Legends tenture during the 2001 season in the gift shop then was promoted to inside sales in the Group Sales Department. For the next thirteen years, he would return every summer as a gameday employee and display his talents on the field every night serving as the on-field personality.

Returning to a full-time capacity in 2014 as an Account Executive within the Group Sales Department, he was promoted to Director of Group Sales after the 2015 season. Originally from Lexington, he attended Lafayette High School and is a graduate of Indiana Wesleyan University with a degree in business marketing. Mike and his son, Miles, live in Lexington and love experiencing everything together.


Danny Franklyn Director of Food & Beverage

Danny Franklyn

Core Job Function: Making sure the concession stands run properly

Danny joined the Lexington Legends in 2016 as the Food & Beverage Manager, and was promoted to Food & Beverage Director during the 2017 season. Danny was born July 20, 1988 in Providence, Rhode Island. He grew up in St. Louis and attended Westminster College where he played football. He can pretty much can quote any movie and he is an avid St. Louis sports fan. He previously worked for the Lakewood BlueClaws and the Birmingham Barons.


Anne Mapson Special Projects Manager

Anne Mapson

Core Job function: Advertising sales, planning and executing stadium projects and running large events at Whitaker Bank Ballpark!

Anne joined the Lexington Legends in 2014 as a Corporate Sales Executive, and was promoted to Special Projects Manager after the 2015 season. She began her career in sports in 2011 with the Tri-City Dust Devils Minor League Baseball team in Pasco, WA, where she worked in both ticket sales and sponsorships until 2014.

Anne was born and raised in New York, NY and attended college at Bowling Green State University in Bowling Green, OH. She graduated in 2010 with a B.S.E in Sports Management and a minor in General Business. Anne moved to Lexington in 2014 with her husband Brian and dog, Poncho. Anne enjoys exploring Lexington (preferably on foot), traveling, cheering on the New York Giants and warily, the New York Mets.




Kyle Hargrove Ticket Sales Manager

Core Job Function: Providing an stress-free group outing event while creating the best possible baseball experience

Kyle joined the Lexington Legends in August 2014 as an Account Executive and was promoted to Ticket Sales Manager after the 2016 season. He currently oversees the Box Office and Inside Sales program, while also helping manage season ticket accounts as well as coordinating corporate events for businesses. Kyle began his career in sports working with the Nashville Sounds during summer internships in 2007 & 2008. After college, Kyle worked in the front office in 2013 for his favorite team, the Atlanta Braves. He also worked in Ticket Sales with the Atlanta Falcons in early 2014.

Kyle was born and raised in Hendersonville, TN. He attended the University of Tennessee and graduated with a B.S.E. in sport management in 2010, as well as a Masters in business administration (MBA) and Masters in sport management in 2012. Kyle moved to Lexington in July 2014 with his wife Nikki. They had a little girl Abby in 2016 who has already attended a bunch of Legends games. Kyle's hobbies include playing softball, fantasy sports, and traveling. He also maintains a collection of over 1,500 bottle caps.


Leslie Taylor, CPA Accounting & Business Operations Manager

Leslie Taylor

Leslie started with the Legends in 2017 and oversees the accounting and business operations. Leslie has spent the last 12 years as an accounting manager/senior accountant in the oil and gas industry. She is a 1993 graduate of Western Kentucky University and earned her Certified Public Accounting Certification in 1996. Leslie resides in Richmond with her husband Craig and two sons Connor and Cole. Her hometown is London, KY and she enjoys playing tennis and spending time with her family, boating, camping and attending soccer and baseball games.



Ron Borkowski Sr. Corporate Sales Executive

Ron Borkowski

Ron Borkowski is a Senior Corporate Sales Executive for the Lexington Legends. Borkowski was formerly the President of the Lexington Horsemen, National Champions of the National Indoor Football League and Chief Operating Officer for the Kentucky Thoroughblades, a member of the American Hockey League and an affiliate of the San Jose Sharks. He has over 34 years of executive management with Sears, including corporate positions of National Human Resource Director and National Business Manager.

Ron was named the South Atlantic League Sales Executive of the Year during the 2005 season. Ron is a proud graduate of the University of Notre Dame and is a veteran of the United States Army, Quartermaster Branch. He and his wife Carol have raised five children and currently reside in Lexington.


April Smith Sr. Corporate Sales Executive

April Smith

Core Job Function: Building lasting corporate partnerships through advertising sales and in game activation, to create the best fan experience in Minor League Baseball!

April joined the Lexington Legends staff in 2012 as a Corporate Sales Executive. Before coming on board with the Legends, April worked at Urban Active Fitness as the Assistant Manager and continued working her way up the corporate ladder becoming the District Manager of Lexington.

Born at Wright Pat Air Force Base in Dayton, OH she has lived in Ohio, California, Texas, South Carolina and currently in Kentucky. An avid Dallas Cowboys fan who equally loves the KC Royals, April is also certified personal trainer who loves coaching and training others to the best version of themselves they can be! In her spare time, you can find her at the gym, spending family time with her husband Jesse and stepson, Tyson or hanging out with her favorite, four legged fur-baby, India.

Dominique Neel Account Executive - Ticket Sales

Dominique Neel

Core Job Function: Build relationships, sell tickets and plan awesome Legends birthday parties!

Dominique has worked at Whitaker Bank Ballpark since 2006 in various capacities, a Group Sales Intern during the 2014 season, joining the Legends in a full-time position after the 2014 season as an Inside Sales Representative, to currently being an Account Executive in the Group Sales Department. Born and raised in Lexington, KY, she attended the University of Kentucky and graduated in 2014 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Corporate Communication and a Minor in Business. Throughout her time at UK she was an active member of Phi Mu fraternity as well as the Baptist Campus Ministries where she held positions on both executive boards.

In her free time away from the ballpark, she loves to hang out and watch Netflix with her husband Drew, play with her pup Oakley and craft. Like any other UK grad she is also an avid follower of the UK Basketball, along with being a Cincinnati Reds and Green Bay Packers fan.


Colin Dodd Account Executive - Ticket Sales

Colin Dodd

Core Job Function: Building and maintaining relationships while providing groups, season ticket holders, and all fans with an awesome ballpark experience!

Colin began his career in sports in early 2016 as an Inside Sales Intern and rose quickly to become the Box Office Intern for the Legends 2016 season. He worked in the Box Office for all Legends 70 home games and various special events throughout the season, such as the 2016 KHSAA State Baseball Tournament, 2016 SAL All-Star Game and the 2016 Red, White & Blue Festival. Upon his graduation from the University of Kentucky in December, Colin enters his second season with the Legends as as Account Executive in the Group Sales Department.

Originally from Mission Viejo, CA in Orange County, Colin moved to Lexington in the fall of 2014 and graduated from UK with a Bachelors in Business Management. Colin enjoys playing basketball in his free time, as well as talking and watching sports, taking road trips and will always miss the beach. He is a huge fan of Kentucky athletics, Cincinnati Bengals (football), Anaheim Ducks (hockey) and the Phoenix Suns (basketball)


Joe Shannon Account Executive - Ticket Sales

Joe Shannon

Core Job Function: To help create a positive and memorable experience for group outings

Joe joined the Legends staff in 2017 as an Account Executive in the Group Sales Department. He has interned with IMG and the Charlotte Hornets in the NBA, while also working in the sales departments at Hunter Manufacturing and Twinspires.

He is a lifelong Lexington resident and a 2014 graduate of Western Kentucky University with a BS in Sports Management and a member of Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity. Joe is an avid fan of the University of Kentucky, Charlotte Hornets and Jacksonville Jaguars. He enjoys playing tennis, golfing and table tennis, while traveling in his free time. His favorite athletes of all-time are Muhammad Ali and Arnold Palmer.

Jillian Waitkus Executive Assistant to the President/CEO

Jillian Waitkus

Core Job Function: To assist the president in all facets of the Legends as well as supporting the corporate sales staff.

Jillian began her career in sports in 2015 as an intern for the University of Kentucky Athletics Department. She spent her time with the Wildcats as a marketing staff member for men's football, soccer, basketball and baseball. Upon graduation, Jillian assisted in the planning and execution of the 2016 South Atlantic League All-Star Game hosted by the Lexington Legends in 2016. She enters her second season with the Legends as the Executive Assistant to the President & CEO.

Jillian graduated from the University of Kentucky in May 2016 with a B.B.A. in Marketing and a minor in Spanish. She was born in Cincinnati, OH and grew up in Louisville, KY. Jillian enjoys cooking, yoga, hiking, scary movies, and traveling. She is also a devout Cincinnati Reds and Cincinnati Bengals fan.



Johnny Youngblood Head Groundskeeper

Johnny Youngblood

The 2017 season will be the first for the new Legends Head Groundskeeper, Johnny Youngblood. The Lexington, KY native grew up playing baseball, graduating from Lafayette High School and is a graduate from the University of Tennessee with a degree in Turfgrass Management.



Steve Moore Facility Specialist

Steve Moore

Steve Moore begins his 18th season with the Lexington Legends as the facilities specialist at Whitaker Bank Ballpark. When not working at Whitaker Bank Ballpark, Steve is a passionate professional football fan. A Lexington native, Steve attended Henry Clay High School and has resided in the area his entire life. He is a very proud parent of two children and currently resides in Lexington.


Dr. W. Ben Kibler, MD, FACSM Head Team Physician

Dr. W. Ben Kibler MD FACSM

Dr. W. Ben Kibler has been with the Lexington Legends since their inaugural season in 2001. He is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon specializing in sports medicine and shoulder and elbow conditions with the Lexington Clinic. Dr. Kibler has been involved in spring training medical education for all levels of the Houston Astros' sports medicine staff. He currently lectures nationally and internationally on shoulder injuries and has been active in research efforts to improve treatment of shoulder and sports injuries. A fellow in the American College of Sports Medicine, Dr. Kibler is also a member of the American Shoulder & Elbow Society and The American Orthopedic Society for Sports Medicine. Dr. Kibler received his M.D. from Vanderbilt University, where he additionally did his residency. A star on and off the field, Dr. Kibler was an All-SEC outfielder for the Commodore baseball team, while in school. You can reach his office at 859-258-8575.


Dr. David C. Dome, MD, ATC Team Physician

Dr. David Dome has been a team physician for the Lexington Legends since their inaugural season. He is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon for the Lexington Clinic and completed a fellowship in sports medicine. Outside the practice, Dr. Dome lectures on shoulder injuries and sports medicine topics and is active in research efforts to improve treatment of the shoulder. He is the Head Team Physician for the Lexington Horsemen and for various high schools and universities across central Kentucky. He maintains his athletic training certification and is a reviewer for the Journal of Athletic Training. A member of American Orthopedic Society for Sports Medicine and the National Athletic Trainers' Association, Dr. Dome is a supporter of Medical Education. Dr. Peter W. Hester, MD Team Physician

Dr. Pete Hester has been a team physician for the Lexington Legends since joining the Lexington Clinic in 2002. He is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon and completed fellowship training in sports medicine. Outside the practice, Dr. Hester lectures on sports medicine topics and is involved in research efforts to improve treatment of shoulder pathology. In addition to the Legends, Dr. Hester is the team physician for Transylvania University, Asbury College, Union College, Lexington Youth Lacrosse Association, Lexington Catholic High School and Bourbon County High School. Dr. Trevor W. Wilkes, MD Team Physician

Dr. Trevor W. Wilkes MD

Dr. Trevor Wilkes is a team physician for the Lexington Legends. He is board-certified in orthopedic surgery and is fellowship-trained in Sports and Shoulder through the Cincinnati Sports Medicine Center and since 2009, has been practicing with Lexington Clinic. He completed a residency in orthopedic surgery at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and received his medical degree from the University of Kentucky College of Medicine.
