04/21/2009 12:02 PM ET
The Buffalo Bisons, Triple-A affiliate of the New York Mets, today activated INF Andy Green from the team's disabled list. Green has missed the first 11 games of the season with a left oblique strain.

Green, 31, split last season between Louisville of the International League and the Mets Triple-A affiliate in New Orleans in the Pacific Coast League. The Mets signed the infielder as a free agent on July 2, 2008 and he hit .331 (59-178) with eight homeruns, 28RBI and three stolen bases in 52 games with New Orleans.

Green is a career .299 hitter in 762 minor league games. He was originally selected by the Arizona Diamondbacks in the 24th round of the 2000 draft.
