The Buffalo Bisons, Triple-A affiliate of the New York Mets, today activated INF Andy Green from the team's disabled list. Green has missed the first 11 games of the season with a left oblique strain. Green, 31, split last season between Louisville of the International League and the Mets Triple-A affiliate in New Orleans in the Pacific Coast League. The Mets signed the infielder as a free agent on July 2, 2008 and he hit .331 (59-178) with eight homeruns, 28RBI and three stolen bases in 52 games with New Orleans. Green is a career .299 hitter in 762 minor league games. He was originally selected by the Arizona Diamondbacks in the 24th round of the 2000 draft. This story was not subject to the approval of the National Association of Professional Baseball Leagues or its clubs.
