STOCKTON, Calif. - The Stockton Ports are thrilled to announce that they will be hosting a trio of legendary American musicians-Bob Dylan, John Mellencamp and Willie Nelson-in the first concert in the history of Banner Island Ballpark, to be held on Saturday, August 15 at 5:30 p.m.

This will be just the second time in 24 years that these three performers have shared the concert stage. The Bob Dylan Show summer concert tour includes stops at the top minor league baseball parks around the country. The tour will end with the final stop at Banner Island Ballpark. The Stockton Ports are the only California League team present on The Bob Dylan Show tour this year.

"We're excited to have Bob Dylan, John Mellencamp and Willie Nelson to Banner Island Ballpark this summer for what will be a concert to remember," said Ports President and General Manager Pat Filippone. "It's going to be an incredible show. We're very excited to have these three legends be the first to perform a concert at our beautiful ballpark, and we're proud to bring a top notch national tour like this to Stockton and San Joaquin County in 2009. We look forward to hosting many more fun concerts in the years to come, and to make Banner Island Ballpark one of the top event venues in the state of California."

Tickets will go on sale to the general public starting at 10 a.m. on Saturday, May 30. Tickets may be purchased through the Stockton Ports ticket office at Banner Island Ballpark, by calling the Ports at (209) 644-1900 or by going online at

Tickets for the show are priced at $68.50 for general admission. Children ages 14 and under get in free when they are accompanied by a paid adult.
