Fan Trips Travel recently announced that select players from the NFC Champion New Orleans Saints will take the field to play celebrity baseball at Zephyr Field to benefit Haitian Relief Efforts by the American Red Cross and Hope for Haiti Now.

This game, in addition to featuring Saints players like Kyle Eckel and Lynell Hamilton, also includes notable New Orleans celebrities and cast members from the movies Twilight and New Moon, and takes place on Saturday, March 20, 2010.

The all-day event commences at 10 a.m., with gametime scheduled for 12:45 p.m.

On the Twilight roster, Actor Peter Facinelli, who plays Carlisle Cullen in the Twilight Saga movies, will lead his team along with Chaske Spencer, Alex Meraz and Tyson Houseman. On the New Orleans side, Saints players Kyle Eckel and Lynell Hamilton and actors Wayne Morgan and Thomas Hyde III will hit the field.

Highlights of this unique baseball adventure include watching a Vampire Baseball™ Exhibition Game with Stars, getting autographs and photos with the stars, meet and greets, and an exciting after-party and concert.

25 percent of net proceeds from each Vampire Baseball™ ticket sale will go towards these Haitian Relief organizations to support their ongoing efforts to rebuild lives destroyed by this disaster. A portion of proceeds will also be used to support New Orleans non-profit organizations such as The Blood Center and the 9th Ward Field of Dreams. In addition to the game, The Blood Center will host an on-site blood drive.

The final roster for all Stars slated to appear at Celebrity Vampire Baseball™ in New Orleans will be announced shortly. Ticket prices start at $25. For more information about Twilight Fan Trips™, or to purchase tickets, visit http://fantrips.travel/ or call Jeannie Barresi at 719-471-0222.
