Mud Hens set new attendance record

TOLEDO, Ohio -- The Toledo Mud Hens announced that the crowd on Thursday, April 16, 2009 established a new single-game record for attendance.

A total of 13,100 fans enjoyed the home opener, surpassing the 12,750 number from the 2008 Opening Day.

The sell-out was the 212th at Fifth Third Field.

Less than 500 seats are available for Friday night's game which features post game fireworks (first pitch 5:30 pm). Fifth Third Field sold out a record 36 times in 2008.
