The Office of the Commissioner of Baseball announced today that two Minor League players, pitchers Daniel Christensen of the Seattle Mariners organization and Gabriel Garcia of the Houston Astros organization, have received 50-game suspensions after each tested positive in violation of the Minor League Drug Prevention and Treatment Program.

Christensen, currently a member of Double-A West Tennessee of the Eastern League, has been suspended after a second violation for testing positive for a drug of abuse.

Garcia, currently a member of Greeneville of the Appalachian League (Rookie), tested positive for metabolites of Nandrolone.

The suspensions of both players became effective on Tuesday.
