Offensive Players of the Week
05/22/2006 1:17 PM ET
International League
Kevin Barker, Syracuse
.444 (12-27), 6 R, 3 2B, 0 3B, 2 HR, 8 RBI, 1 BB, 6 SO, 0 SB, .778 SLG
Barker couldn't have been more perfect against Ottawa on Wednesday. The first baseman went 6-for-6 with two home runs, seven RBIs and five runs scored, almost single-handedly giving Syracuse the win. Due in large part to his six-hit day, Barker raised his season average from .278 to .306 this week.

Pacific Coast League
Kendry Morales, Salt Lake
.500 (11-22), 3 R, 5 2B, 0 3B, 1 HR, 7 RBI, 2 BB, 0 SO, 0 SB, .864 SLG
The Oklahoma RedHawks took the brunt of Morales' scorching week in their series with the Bees this week. The first baseman, who leads Salt Lake with 50 hits and 29 RBIs, went 9-for-16 with four doubles and six RBIs in four games against the RedHawks. However, Morales' effort only resulted in a split for the Bees as they lost 2-0 and 14-8 on Friday and Saturday, respectively.

Eastern League
Joe Inglett, Akron
.526 (10-19), 4 R, 4 2B, 0 3B, 1 HR, 5 RBI, 5 BB, 6 SO, 1 SB, .895 SLG
Inglett is doing his best to keep his stay in Akron to a short visit. A shortstop by trade, Inglett played in an array of defensive positions with Triple-A Buffalo and was sent down to Akron after batting .321 in 14 games. He's been beating up on Eastern League pitching ever since. Inglett is batting .516 with nine doubles, nine RBIs, three homers and seven stolen bases since joining the Aeros on April 28.

Southern League
Barbaro Canizares, Mississippi
.480 (12-25), 5 R, 3 2B, 0 3B, 3 HR, 7 RBI, 4 BB, 2 SO, 0 SB, .960 SLG
Canizares highlighted the Braves' week with his two-out, ninth-inning, game-tying home run against Jacksonville on Friday. Mississippi went on to win the game in the 11th on a home run by Yunel Escobar. Canizares had four multi-hit games this week, including a perfect 3-for-3 against the Suns on Saturday.

Texas League
Josh Pressley, Springfield
.556 (10-18), 6 R, 2 2B, 0 3B, 2 HR, 8 RBI, 4 BB, 1 SO, 0 SB
After a paultry, injury-ridden start to the season, which saw him bat .050 in seven games with Triple-A Pawtucket, Pressley was put on the disabled list and then released on May 8. Since being picked up by Springfield, the designated hitter has batted .400 with four doubles, two homers and eight RBIs. He hit safely and drove in at least one run in every game for the Cardinals this week.

California League
Carlos Gonzalez, Lancaster
.379 (11-29), 9 R, 3 2B, 0 3B, 3 HR, 11 RBI, 3 BB, 9 SO, 0 SB, .793 SLG
Gonzalez has been playing in the shadow of Lancaster's star hitter Chris Rahl all season but refused to be ignored this week. The right fielder leads the JetHawks with 34 RBIs and falls second to Rahl in most offensive categories after his clutch week. In Lancaster's 13-2 win over San Jose on Saturday, Gonzalez went 3-for-5 with three RBIs and three runs scored.

Carolina League
Ryan Goleski, Kinston
.450 (9-20), 11 R, 1 2B, 0 3B, 5 HR, 13 RBI, 3 BB, 5 SO, 1 SB, 1.250 SLG
The Indians have won seven of their last eight games and they have Goleski to thank. Against Frederick on Sunday, Goleski drove in five of Kinston's eight total runs with three home runs. The outfielder doubled his season home run total to a team-leading 10 this week. He's batting .327 and leads Kinston with 39 RBIs and a .654 slugging percentage.

Florida State League
Sam Fuld, Daytona
.500 (14-28), 12 R, 3 2B, 2 3B, 2 HR, 7 RBI, 5 BB, 4 SO, 5 SB, .964 SLG
Daytona's speedy outfielder has a nine-game hit streak in progress and took over the team lead in batting average (.327) and stolen bases (13) after a stellar week at the plate. Fuld led the offensive charge in the Cubs' 13-2 win over Sarasota last Monday. He fell a single short of the cycle, drove in two runs and scored three. Fuld also went 3-for-4 with two RBIs and two runs scored in Daytona's 6-5, late-inning win over Tampa on Sunday.

Midwest League
Erik Lis, Beloit
.484 (15-31), 7 R, 3 2B, 0 3B, 2 HR, 7 RBI, 4 BB, 3 SO, 0 SB, .774 SLG
Lis leads Beloit in almost every offensive category, and this week was no different. The first baseman led the Snappers to a 5-2 week, hitting safely in all seven games, including three three-hit games and four multi-RBI performances. The outfielder is hitting .356 with 17 doubles, 28 RBIs and seven home runs this season.

South Atlantic League
Kris Harvey, Greensboro
.375 (9-24), 8 R, 1 2B, 0 3B, 5 HR, 11 RBI, 3 BB, 2 SO, 0 SB, 1.042 SLG
Harvey got off to a hot start for the Grasshoppers, batting as high as .345 on April 22, but settled into a slump that saw his average drop to .229 at the beginning of last week. But the right fielder turned that around this week. He led the Grasshoppers to a 6-1 week, including his two-homer, four-RBI performance in their 12-2 win over Asheville on Tuesday. After getting his swing back this week, Harvey's batting average stands at .254.
