Matt Kemp went 4-for-4 with two RBIs and Hong-Chih Kuo and two relievers combined on a six-hitter as host Las Vegas blanked Iowa, 4-0, on Monday.

Kemp, who is batting .410 in 15 games since being reassigned by the parent-club Dodgers on July 13, delivered an RBI single and scored in the first inning as the 51s (52-58) jumped out to a 2-0 lead.

The 22-year-old center fielder tripled in another run and scored in the third and singled in the fifth and eighth innings for his second four-hit game with Las Vegas. He also had four hits against Omaha on July 25.

Kemp batted .279 with seven homers and 21 RBIs in 37 games with Los Angeles.

Las Vegas starter Hong-Chih Kuo (2-3) yielded five hits with five strikeouts and a walk in five innings. Mark Alexander walked two and struck out five over the next two frames. Tim Hamulack pitched around three walks in the eighth and a lead-off single in the ninth to preserve the shutout.

Ryan O'Malley (5-7) took the loss after surrendering four runs on eight hits with one strikeout and three walks in seven innings.

Michael Restovich and Micah Hoffpauir had two hits apiece for the Cubs (55-54).
