After missing the Texas League Championship Series due to injury, A's No. 7 prospect Chad Pinder went 3-for-5 with a pair of homers and four RBIs in Mesa's season-opening loss to Glendale.
It had only been two years since Ben last visited Nashville, but he had a good excuse to return in August -- a chance to see the Sounds' brand-new ballpark in the Sulphur Dell neighborhood.
After pitch clocks were brought to the Triple-A and Double-A levels, average game times dropped by as much as 16 minutes in those circuits and by six minutes overall in the Minors.
