The Tides and Baltimore Orioles will play an exhibition game at Harbor Park on Friday, March 31st. Presented by BB&T, the game will feature the Orioles taking on the Tides, with first pitch scheduled for 3:05 pm.
The promo schedule includes 12 fireworks nights, 8 Business specials and fan favorites like Star Wars Night, Military Nights and more! New this year are Military Mondays presented by Geico, Wind Down Wednesdays, Thursday Night Happy Hour and Sunday Fundays.
2015 International League Manager of the Year Ron Johnson will return to manage the Tides this season. Johnson, the franchise leader in managerial victories, will be joined on his coaching staff by Mike Griffin, Sean Berry, Jose Hernandez, Mark Shires and Trevor Howell.
The Tides are saddened to report the passing of longtime General Manager Dave Rosenfield at the age of 87 years old. A member of three Halls of Fame and a four-time IL Executive of the Year, Rosenfield served as the Tides GM from 1963-2011.
The Tides and Norfolk State University will play their seventh exhibition game in the last eight years on Tuesday, April 4 at 5:30 p.m. at Harbor Park. Gates will open at 4:30 p.m. for the seven-inning game. All advance tickets must be purchased through NSU, while tickets can be purchased at Harbor Park on the day of the game.
After nearly 7,500 votes were cast on our Facebook page, Surry County Pony Baseball has won a contest in which the Tides will renovate their baseball field. This field makeover will include an upgrade to the playing surface and an improvement to existing dugouts, with the renovations taking place in mid-April.
