2014 Winter Meetings - General Information

General Information

ABOUT SAN DIEGO

Ninety-two golf courses, 1,200 tennis courts, 70 miles of pristine beaches — all in a climate named "ideal" by meteorologists. San Diego's four microclimates, including mountains, deserts, inland valleys and beaches, can show you just how great the great outdoors get. Explore rural mountain terrain or desert trails, run with the tide or swim against it, scuba dive the depths of kelp forests or cycle pine forests. San Diego's many outdoor venues offer just about any sporting convention or spectator event you can think of. This is a city that has hosted two Super Bowls and is home to an annual Rock 'n' Roll marathon. "America's Finest City" definitely lives up to its reputation as "America's Fittest City."

Also, while in San Diego, enter a floating city at sea on the USS Midway Aircraft Carrier Museum, situated along the bay, or browse more than 100 stores at Horton Plaza.

ATTIRE

Business casual attire is appropriate for the Baseball Winter Meetings and Baseball Trade Show. Business attire is suggested for job seekers attending the Job Fair, especially for interviews. A presentable and professional appearance is recommended at all times. Refer to individual event tickets for specific attire recommendations.

WEATHER

Please refer to your favorite weather forecast when planning your trip to San Diego. Average temperatures in December range from a high of 65 degrees to a low of 48 degrees.
