During the year he coordinates all operational umpire meetings and deals directly with the AMLU on articles and policies contained within the Collective Bargaining Agreement to ensure they are adhered to by umpires, leagues and evaluation staff.
After graduating from the Jim Evans Academy of Professional Umpiring, Klemm spent nine seasons as an umpire in the International, Eastern, Southern, Carolina, Midwest and New York-Penn Leagues. During his four years at the Triple-A level, he was awarded two Arizona Fall League invites and worked numerous regular season games at the Major League Level. Justin spent two off-seasons umpiring in China and Australia in an effort to develop officiating skills in those countries. Klemm is a native of Cataumet, Massachusetts, and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Management from Indiana Wesleyan University.
